If your in Izmir and want to eat in a smaller, more traditional town then this restaurant overlooking the fishing harbor at Urla is for you. tenge translates as crab. It's about 30 minutes away on a fast road on the South side of the estuary. The restaurant is quite upscale, very welcoming with attentive staff and serves an enormous selection of mezzes and a lot of different seafood which you select from the counter. There is no menu. The owners daughter speaks very good English and will guide you through the more unusual fish and local mezze dishes. Everything we tried was excellently prepared and tasted fabulous.thank you for your nice comments, we are happy to welcome you again in our restaurant.

Unlike Alsancak and KarÅıyaka, this place ia not so crowded and there are a nice amount of space between the tables. Food is great. Preferable if you want to chit chat with your friends and listen to good music

I'll share my opinions in two parts, First is about the location and the ambiance, The restaurant located in one of the best place in İzmir , Uckuyular Ferry port. You have your meal like you're on the sea . The ambiance; first the smell of the sea take place in your nose, than the sunset on the Aegean&Karsıyaka appears in your eyes and fnally seagulls and ferries at your ears. Perfect match for a seaside :)Second Part,The food;Starters, as usual in Izmir fresh green stuff which unique for Aegean part of Turkey, very delicious as expected. Than hot appetizers, perfect match is grilled calamari and octopus on skewers, delicious is not the word that can describe the taste. During the summer the best is red mullet I prefer fried but grilled also be tasteful.Desert? I don't have big stomatch , this time I did not tried(What a shame)There are a lots of variants for food but those that I listed above my favorites.In addition, service quality maybe the best in Izmir.If you will be in Izmir , have dinner here at least one night. You won't be sorry for it.
