Things to do in Motta Camastra
the italian/german hosts will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. great breakfast, and very nice homecooked evening menus, good wine and nice rooms that are clean.

Great food - amazingly large portions and good quality. The service is typically Sicilian - food comes out at different times and is a bit slower than in the more touristy resorts. We went on two consequetive evenings in order to sample to food!

Friendly servers gave a warm welcome and refreshing drinks. Really crisp house white compleneted the pistacchio ravioli dish well. 3.5|YO son loved his maccheroni alla norma whose sugo was sensational. Bistecca and mixed grill proved to be well-cooked too - just missed my lamb heart (great addition last time). Great value at 54 euro including service charge. Need to give this place a try - really unhurried meal in a relaxing environment (much better than the alternatives within the main park itself)

A lady recommended this place on our way out from the Gola Alcantara. Nice lunch with my parents and my partner and well priced as well. We had antipasti typical from that area with filled onion and parmigiana and filled mashroom. Main 'maccheroni with nice sausage sauce and second sausage (mine was nice but found a cold sausage but really nice sauce). Typical Sicilian food and delicious dessert wine at the end which went really well with 'cannolo con ricotta' also delicious ;)

Amazing house wine. Only paid 23 euros (off peak - NYE) for the entire meal and we had about 3/4 courses including antipasti, pasta, main and dessert. Was a long drive in, so you need to have a car to get to this place. Its a trattoria but they also have wooden cabins for guests to spend their holiday, participating in adventure sports, as well as a small petting farm. Will never forget Winston and the view of Etna :)

We stopped for lunch, yes the Etna view is beautiful, the staff were friendly however the food was horrible. The pasta dish was packet pasta, they told us it was good quality packet pasta though! We were very disappointed and left feeling hungry and dissatisfied The Best part of the place was the viewDear Justyna,I am sorry to read this comment.Obviously, there is a language/knowledge barrier. I will try again to provide a briefly/synthetic explaination in the hope that you will have future wonderful meals in Italy.1) Pasta = all types of pastas, ingredients, shapes and sizes "spaghetti, pennette, etc."2) Dried Pasta "allâuovo" (made with eggs) comes in a package3) Craft made pasta allâuovo âpasta frescaâ (home made with eggs) â it can be in a package4) Dried pasta made with just water and flower (comes in a package) 5) Craft made pasta made with just water and flower âpasta frescaâ â It can be in a packageThen you have all of the processed ones (frozen, etc.) which you might find in many bars âtouristicâ restaurants, airports fast foodâ¦â¦In our Hotel we use both Dried pasta (as 99% of the restaurants in Italy) On out evening menu you can find both dried and craft madeIn both cases is freshly made/cooked for you (some restaurant would also pre-cook the pasta). We have a small kitchen and only 12 table everything is cooked espresso for our guests we do not use processed food, we take care of all the preparation. We can specifically prepare a requested type of âpasta frescaâ craft made pasta which is not on our menu with a one day notice. We love to personalize meals.I hope that this explanation will make you reconsider your comment and to see you again in the future.Kind regardsPaolo Ferrari, Manager Hotel Villa Ducale Taormina's Boutique HotelPart of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World
