If you're visiting Bury St Edmunds you must visit this delightful authentic Greek cafe. Small and cosy serving traditional Greek food which includes, Meze (vegetarian or vegan) & Greek desserts. It also contains a small deli for which to buy ingredients. *Word of note, if it's full, 2 doors down is Cafe Kottani, which is also owned by the same people and equally as good!

Good food - the lamb is some of the most flavoursome and tender I have tasted. Relaxed atmosphere with freshly cooked, traditional food, with a barbeque flavour. We loved the food and had an equally yummy takeaway the following Friday.

The positives are the surroundings , food and service are absolutely top notch ..The three star rating is based mainly on price.. most dishes came without vegetables , this is quite an extra cost to an already slightly over priced meal .The other is watch out for the added but optional service charge. Our bill had £48 added which is a lot , we knocked this off and added our own reasonable tip ..

Local English-Greek Cafe
Cafe Kottani is bright and clean with a cheery atmosphere. The menu of mediterranean delicacies is varied and interesting. I was after a light lunch but, once I'd seen the tempting array of dishes behind the counter, frankly, I was tempted to pig out!I restrained myself and selected one of the very reasonably priced mezze selections on offer. The dish, when it came out, was generously loaded with a colourful and appetising selection of items, all of which proved to taste as good as they looked.Very good all round.

We visited Cheers on a Friday night, so weâre expecting a loud, unbearable atmosphere, but we were pleasantly surprised. The staff weâre all very nice and friendly, explained the menu in detail and deals in which we could partake. When the food arrived it was beautifully cooked and piping hot, which made it doubly delicious! The portion sizes were generous and were displayed beautifully- I would highly recommend the salmon!! However, the only slightly disappointing factor in our evening was the lack of choice on the menu, but the quality and flavour of the meals available, make up for the lack of choice. 5 star restaurant, with great value for money!!
