Writing about healthy and yummy shushi make me hungry again though I just have shushi at Kumo shushi. Although the restaurant 's location (downstair in Water court plaza,Westlake) is hard to find, the melting down fish in mouth and no msg food is worth to serch for. I am a Japanese food lover and falling in love the freshness seafood and friendly atmosphere at Kumo at the first trial. Also, the reasonable price drives me to ask my big family to try shushi at Kumo next weekend.

Muzen Sushi is conveniently located in the shopping center with TJMaxx. It's relatively small but comfortable. The sushi is fantastic, fresh, moist and well prepared. The chefs are very accommodating with special orders, just ask and they'll prepare it. Everyone is friendly. If you love sushi, you'll love Muzen.

We were greeted as we entered the door, we were seated quickly and given menus with a lengthy variety of sushi choices. Our orders were not only delicious but the presentation was creative. We had cold sake and offered it to the sushi chefs... they were all smiles, as the rest of the staff. Including the Owner that came to chat with us at the sushi bar. This is a regular stop for us now. Had a wonderful evening, again.

Long time iconic WLV sushi restaurant Kaminari closed recently, putting up for grabs many loyal fans, including this writer. This opens the door for other places, and so we found our way to Tomodachi recently on two different nights to see if we had found a replacement. Both nights this large and open sushi restaurant just didn't deliver. It started with the temperature upon arrival. The air conditioning just wasn't up to the challenge. Yes, it can be hot out, but it wasn't comfortable upon entry and didn't improve despite our asking the waiter if there was a problem. Both nights the service seemed overwhelmed, scrambling, missing orders, forgetting drinks. It felt like a new restaurant just going through opening challenges. The quality of the sushi is good, and it should be for the prices charged. In the end we figured that Onyx is the new 'go to' replacement for Kaminari. We will give Tomodachi one more go, but the owners would be well served to pay attention to the opportunity to take their share of customers now looking for the next good sushi restaurant.

We had reviewed this restaurant before and gave it great ratings. We returned only to be shocked by how it has changed. The manager was gone, the staff seemed miserable, the food was not good. We didn't finish most of our sushi ordered as it didn't taste fresh. The restaurant on a Saturday night was empty as compared to our first visit which it was packed. Not sure what has happened but can not in good conscience recommend this to anyone!

The Landing Grill AND Sushi Bar is located on the beautiful West Lake in Westlake Village. We offer serene waterfront views, an extensive menu selection , and professional , friendly service. Join us on our patio during dinner and enjoy a beautiful sunset
This restaurant's specialty is definitely the setting: Beautifully located next to the Westlake Lake. Even though the whole setting of the restaurant seems very high-end, the food is very reasonably priced. The whole view of the lake is more memorable than the food unfortunately. Even though I enjoyed the food, it was not excellent. Just good food. In all honesty, I might have raised the bar too much due to the high-end atmosphere of the place. Nevertheless, still recommended.

Specializing in fresh seafood and sushi, ONYX at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village offers delectable Asian fare. Onyx offers a menu that emphasizes traditional Japanese cuisine including sushi and sahsimi, specialty rolls, select traditional hot dishes
While attending a business meeting at the Four Seasons Westlake Village, we had the opportunity to dine at the on-property restaurant, Onyx. The venue was lovely, and we had a nice 2-top w/ banquette seating on one side, and a chair toward the dining room. The tables were a bit closely spaced, but in a style that we saw all over Tokyo, and at many Japanese restaurants in the USA. The servers were adapt at maneuvering the spacing of the tables, and did not miss a beat.We went with:Miso Soup w/ tofu, Nameko mushroom and wakane â very good, and rich soupAhi Tuna Tartare w/ crispy rice, avocado, wasabi aioli and sesame soy â excellent dish, and lovely to look at alsoSeared Albacore Tuna w/ crispy shallots, mountain berry, orange oil and samai-zu vinaigrette â it was a toss up, as to which Tuna dish was the betterFive-spice Chicken Breast & Duck Spring Roll w/ duck confit, Chinese broccoli, white asparagus, yuzu balsamic reduction and orange chili sauce â a wonderful dish, and the contrast between the Chicken and the Duck was greatShrimp Fried Rice (side)Instead of our normal wines, we turned our knowledgeable server loose to pick several sakes, and enjoyed the pairing. The service mirrored the food â great throughout the meal. The only regret that I had was that we were not dining there more nights, as there was so much on the menu, that we would have loved to explore. We hope to return to the Four Seasons Westlake Village, and will definitely dine again at Onyx.
