If youâre into Japanese food I can highly recommend the Sakura Japanese Restaurant at the Melia Bali. We had an outside table with beautiful lighting and with the warm balmy night the ambience was perfect. The staff were welcoming & friendly. Then there is the food we loved it For entree we had.. dumplings, salmon sashimi & prawn roll. Very generous serves. For mains we ordered fried rice, salmon teriyaki, Californian sushi rolls & beef teriyaki. Sounds a lot & yes it was but it was amazing & not one morsel left. Juni did a great job of looking after us.

Weâve eaten at Rin on visits to Conrad over several years. Last year during renovations the food was not quite as good, but this year itâs excellent again! We had sushi entree, then salmon and chicken teppanyaki. All dishes presented beautifully and tasted delicious. It was so good to see Juni our waiter again. Also good to try the new addition to Bali wines, Two Islands. The Shiraz was very good. Thanks for the great service Juni. And we appreciated that the Executive Chef dropped by to say hello. Beautiful presented, excellent quality meal last night. Eel roll, salmon roll with amazing miso soup loaded with different mushrooms... tuna nigiri and to end it all off a really incredible peanut butter mousse with vanilla ice cream. Too much mouth watering happening to get any shots of the food

Saved this restaurant for a special night and after the hype, really expected a special night.We were an early sitting (6:30) and the only ones at the deserted Tepanyaki bar. The menu was explained to us but - this only confused us.We moved to the buffet bar and tried many offerings. None were âwowâ. We are food lovers and one of us (me) is a large eater. So, we know food.We really liked the selection from noodles of various types to Indian and Bali food to French desserts and breads. And of course Western food. And you can order anything from the menu if still hungry or want something special when you have the breakfast buffet or the evening buffet.Price low by Western standards or by our Singapore standardsBut for us the outstanding experience was Indian Chef Negy who showed us how he makes Naan (Indian bread) and took my wife thru the process, This is what makes a good meal memorable.
