Reviews on Japanese food in Gainesville, Florida, United States. Home to the University of Florida, the largest and oldest university in the state, as well as the Santa Fe Community College, Gainesville is a hub of education and culture. Perhaps due to its strong student population, the city is also at the heart of independent music in Florida, having produced numerous musical acts from a variety of genres. The natural surroundings, including parks, lakes and the adjacent Paynes Prairie State Reserve provide a green getaway from the bustle of city life.

Stopped at a hotel on my travels down I-75 and was looking for something simple and healthy to eat. Found Bento on TA and decided to give it a try. Perfect! Excellent, friendly service. Wonderful food. Very reasonable cost. Had the vegetarian rice bowl (with chicken) and a Ginger Salad for $11.

Sat at the bar, since the restaurant was packed. John, the bartender, immediately took our drink order and served it promptly. Once we had looked over the menu, he offered some suggestions that sounded so good we ordered them. Their homemade kimchi is fresh and quite spicy. It makes a great added incgredient in sushi rolls, such as tuna. Their salmon and cucumber dish offers a great variety of textures and is zesty and flavorful. The various types of fish we ordered were fresh, with white or brown rice that was properly cooked and not mushy.John took good care of us, we will be back.

Enjoyed my takeout from Momoyaki. Iâve been looking for a place that has really good spicy green beans and I finally found it. I also ordered a noodle bowl that was outstanding. Delicious flavor, fresh and just the right amount of spice, not overwhelming. I will definitely order from here again. Their menu has a lot to offer so it should appeal to lots of different palates.

Crane Ramen is a full service ramen shop and cocktail bar
We enjoyed every moment of our visit. The menu is limited to quite a few items, which is perfect - as it is not overwhelming and offers just enough options to please anyone's taste. Open kitchen concept adds excitement to the dining experience - loved sitting at the counter and watching the kitchen. Drink menu is interesting as well. Service was impeccable, and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend!

We, Beque holic, is Korean premium table BBQ restaurant.
This restaurant was busy. We had to wait about half an hour to get seated. Service was excellent. Our waiter explained all the dishes and the options available. We grilled or own food and had fun trying the various little side dishes that are included. We split a meal and there was plenty for 2 people.

From the moment we walked in, we could tell this would be an amazing evening. The atmosphere is perfect and matches the cuisine. Our waitress, I think her name was Dee was a delight and friendly. She also helped with selections for someone who has not done much in the way of Sushi before. Except of the main course, food was delivered very quickly, however even the main course was not a terrible wait. I hope to eat here again should I return the Gainesville.
