Located on Brisbane Road across from Mooloolaba Beach, Nobuzo Japan Diner can offer a traditional Japanese dining experience for families, couples and anyone in between. Takeaway or come dine in and take a seat at a traditional ground table or opt for a u
So pleased that we came across this great little Japanese diner in Brisbane Road away from the main drag of Mooloolaba. The gyoza were perfect and we loved our pork belly and teriyaki chicken which came with mashed potato as well as salad and pickles. A little unusual but delicious all the same. The food is reasonably priced and you can byo wine or buy beer, wine and sake.

Yakiniku Japanese Bbq Tables
We have been coming to Sakana Sushi Bar since it opened pretty much every week. We love the food and the service we receive. The reason for my review is "where has the service gone". We used to enjoy being able to have a quick chat with the girls as all your staff are lovely. Last night with only 2 waitresses on the floor we were unable to get more drinks and extra food. As I said we love coming for our weekly Japanese with at least 6 of us each week but the staffing needs to be looked at.

Great experience to do at least once. Our group had done this before in Adelaide and elected to go again. No regrets. They do engage with their customers by throwing empty food bowls for you to catch but you can opt out. Up to the individuals to partake in the full rice bowl or egg catching. Not sure about the scrambled egg to the open mouth but once again your choice. However ending on a fabulous note the food is delicious and the portions just right. Cost per person depending on your choice of food option. It is BYO wine only. Our food cost was $70pp plus drinks for those drinking beer, we brought our own wine - evening cost equated to $100pp. They do have a lunch option which is cheaper but only opens between 12 noon and 2.30pm.They are found two block back from the Esplanade on Brisbane Road, so are often overlooked.

We enjoyed delicious authentic Japanese food at this restaurant. The menu has several options for the connoisseur to the beginner. The restaurant itself has a good ambiance and they can accommodate a large group if needed, but I recommend you book in advance.I recommend the Salmon/Tuna/King Fish Sashimi which can easily be shared with three people as an entrée.You can now enjoy good Japanese food in the sunshine coast at reasonable price using fresh ingredients and produce. I recommend this restaurant and will go back again.

Moom Asian Cuisine is a Thai based restaurant with a slightly mixture of beautiful Vietnamese, Japanese and Chinese dishes, located on the Ground Floor 123 Mooloolaba Esplanade. Amazing atmosphere, incredible food, what else are you looking for!!!
This restaurant on the Mooloolaba Esplanade has a menu that is mainly Thai, but also includes Vietnamese and Japanese dishes. We went with friends and ordered Thai food - which was delicious if a little sweet for our taste. I thought the portions were a little bit small for the price - especially as we had to order rice separately. BYO is $6 per bottle.

Ginger Japanese Restaurant
There is a lot of ordinary food on the Sunshine Coast. I've been a business traveller here for a year and mostly I have eaten expensive ordinary food. This place is brilliant. The servings are massive but the food is fresh, nicely prepared and way above the average. The menu is typical japanese, noodles, sushi and meals served with rice and salad. There is a good list of Japanese beer and saki. The place has a nice atmosphere. It's not fine dining or a romantic place for two but it's a fantastic place for a family meal.
