My hotel advised me to walk up 18th Street and there are a lot of choices for restaurants. I wandered around a bit and saw people eating outside at Paesano's Pizzeria which is what I wanted. I ordered the small salad, and pesto primavera pasta. It was delicious with homemade pasta and a piece of garlic bread. The servers were all very friendly.

This is a very popular Italian restaurant with an extensive menu and a great happy hour Tuesday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The happy hour food menu is excellent and each dish averages about $5, with well drinks for the same price. I always arrive early because around 5 o'clock the place fills to overflowing with regular customers that are a there every day. I love the shrimp martini, the fish tcos & the wings. Next time I'm going to try their special fries that are smothered with blue cheese and bacon. You can't be watching your waistline when you eat here.My very favorite menu item is their garlic steak sandwich!

A little pricey, but so worth it. The classic Italian is amazing, with the little dallops of ricotta cheese....omg. They do deep dish, thin crust, sicilian style, Chicago style....any type of pizza you could ask for. Be sure to try the meat balls as well! And ask for the ricotta dallops, it makes any pizza 10x better. Great customer service, cool decor and fast service. You cant go wrong here!

Biba has been our favorite Sacramento area restaurant for many years. Service has always been impeccable. And the food! It's the most delightful, pleasing, well-prepared Italian food we've had about anywhere. I recently had the chef's special of swordfish with shrimp-stuffed peppers -- delightful. The Lasagne Verdi alla Bolognese, available only on Thursday and Friday because making it is so labor-intensive, is wondrous, lasagne such as I have never had anywhere else. The wine list has excellent vintages reasonably priced. We love Biba. You must go there!

Had dinner at this Italian restaurant not far from our hotel. It was not busy so we were seated immediately. We ordered our dinner along with some appetizers. The calamari was fresh, light and tender. The fried mushrooms were huge. The house minestrone was fantastic. The Baked Gnocchi was good. It needed a bit more seasoning. There was plenty of it. Huge portions good service. I would go back.

Three of us went for lunch, the service from the beginning was attentive, a beautiful space with high ceilings and wonderful light. It was an impressive space, elegant and worldly.Our dishes and drinks were all classic and more than we expected, Iâll Fornaio remains a favorite restaurant that we look forward to enjoying another meal.
