A disgrace for Le Grand Bornand... Seldom I have been in a restaurant as cold, arrogant and unwelcome as L'Entracte in Chinaillon. Can the previous owners return, please..., they were great hosts. I was looking forward to an evening with my wife and kids, booked in advance. It was a slow week, with many restaurants almost empty. I had good experience with this place before, but that was a distant past. We were "welcomed" in an OK-ish manner, not warm, just OK, this is not normal for this normally very friendly and warm part of France. We were brought to our table with tasteful benches, the kids (7 and 5) were told they could not move their feet, it would make too much noise....why seat us at this table with benches in the first place?!? The restaurant does not have any kids menus, of course this is not mandatory. When asking for a kids menu the owner replied: "we have nothing special for kids, no fries, no small portions, nothing for kids at all". We were still in a good mood trying to have an enjoyable evening. We then decided not to waste uneaten food and ordered 1 dish for our kids to share. Our kids do not eat as much as adults, ie ordering 3 dishes for the 4 of us. The owner replied that this is not possible, and we MUST order at least one dish per person we decided to order the bill instead of our meal. Ironic detail: the owners take pride that they took a 10 year timeout to spend time with their kids as prominently shared in a little history of the restaurant on the first page of their menu. Not sure what happened in those 10 years but it did not leave any sympathy for children...Owner's response to other poor reviews show a lack of understanding of customer experience and are an insult to people who provide feedback.Bonjour,je tiens a répondre a votre commentaire, sachez Monsieur que nous recevons beaucoup de famille et que les enfants ont la possibilité de manger de nombreux plats même si ceux-ci ne leurs sont pas exclusivement réservé !! de plus vous avez la possibilité de partir avec le reste de la pizza si vous ne l'a finissez pas !!!!!!!!!!!!!! (puisque que apparemment vos enfants ne mangent QUE CA ! )Les banquettes font parties du mobilier de la salle du restaurant et il y en a à chaque table et le tamtam n'est pas notre musique favorite !!!si vous repassez par là vous pouvez me rapporter la bouteille d'eau qui est consignée.......Non je plaisante et je vous en fait cadeau !Au plaisir de vous revoir quand vos enfants seront plus grand.Et si je peux me permettre mes enfants sont très bien éduqué mais moi je ne me permets pas de vous juger quand a lâéducation des votre

We ate here first night of a short break to La Clusaz. The place was empty which suited us fine and pizzas were excellent but service was slightly strange..... we got served by different people each time we ordered more drinks etc. and the last round of drinks never arrived. When we were ready to leave there seemed to be no one in the restaurant at all and we were close to leaving what we thought we owed as couldn't get anyone to serve us despite shouting through the kitchen door! But reasonable and good food so would return but not sure it's for everyone based on our experience.

A very new place at Saint-Jean-de-Sixt. As a new comer we thought of joining it. The lounge and decoration are very fresh and pleasant. The service ok. Food was unsuccessfully ambitious. They want to provide upscale cuisine but except the prices nothing is close to succes . Some starters were ok . Overall they have to rethink their menu and try, either change the dishes, either cut prices to half.Check 5 pax , no wine ( not available) 130⬠with just spaghettis , tasteless.

Great little restaurant on the main street of the village. Excellent service and I have not eaten such a delicious pizza for a long time! Great lunch and very good price 11euro for a perfect pizza. Thanks to the chef, keep going!

But would have been a 2 only if it wasn't for the waitress. The tables were dirty and sticky which was a put off from the start. The pizzas were just ok. The thin crust was nice but nothing special or like the photos.. Service was quick and friendly.

This was our first meal on our half-term ski holiday - the children had pizzas and the adults had salads. All delicious, sitting outside on the terrace in the sunshine. Staff are very friendly and efficient and we had a delicious start to our holiday!
