Cafe serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner along with quality coffee. Known for our homemade cooking, tasty soups and Vegan & Gluten Free options.
Was in a hurry to get to the train for 1 pm when I arrived at 12.30 pm. Ordered an Ulster fry, large, and it was served very quickly along with an order for my wife of pancakes, maple syrup and bacon all along with suitable pots of tea. In truth the fry was a little too big for me but I am getting a little old and now need less food - not the fault of the cafe but my big eyes. I need not have worried as the service was so quick we had time for a chat before leaving for the station. All served at a reasonable price.

Went here last night with my little girl and it wasnt overally busy but the service was so slow. I ordered the 2 courses deal for £10 and they brought out my starter...when id almost finished it they brought my wee girls dinner out....by time theyd lifted my empty starter plate she had almoat finished then id a good 10mon wait for my main which by this stage she was finished eating and just wanted to go home. The guy at the table beside us was waiting ages for his meal too while the others at his table were already eating theirs. My wee one ordered beans with her dinner but never got the beans...they were on the bill but by this stage i was that eager to get out of the place i never said about it. Food was tasty but wont be rushing back!

Our Counties Restaurant & Cafe Bar overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and is situated in the centre of Portrush on the Causeway Coastal Route. Popular with international visitors and locals. Open for Breakfast / Morning Coffee / Lunch / Afternoon Tea & Dinner.
This used to be one of our favorite restaurants, going every time we stayed up at out apartment in Portrush, including all through the winter months. Then it changed hands....We hadn't been for about a year as they took off their early bird menu, and with three small kids we always ate early and liked the menu. So...we tried it again at the start of July when I saw they had early bird on again. We were underwhelmed. The portion sizes were very small (for example, three wedges accompanying a steak?), and I complained at the fact the kids chicken nuggets were processed muck....like seriously, how hard is it for a hotel to make your own nuggets from fresh chicken??Decided to give it another go this week but will not bad back...many better options for good food.Processed nuggets still being dished up, portion sizes still small for the price. I had the pork and leek sausages, champ and gravy. Sausages were loveky , very tasty but the champ was what can only be described as gelatinous gloup, only made palatable by the gravy. The service was very good and the staff were lovely but the quality of the food totally lets it down. Also, check your bill...both times we visited the bill had 'al a carte' prices listed instead of the early bird prices we ordered. Staff apologized and re did the bill, but I'm guessing this goes unnoticed by some people.

The Quays Bar Portrush, (formally known as The Alpha Bar) is a family run bar with over 40 years experience. Situated opposite the Portrush Train station and a stone throw away from the west strand beach, it is the perfect gathering place for those wantin
I recently booked the quays for my mum's retirement party. The staff were more than happy to decorate the room for me and very accommodating when I needed to change the buffet time. Carrie and Jamie provided excellent customer service by continually asking about the food and keeping our wee party room tidy. George the barman asked us later on if everything was ok which was a nice personal touch as the bill was already paid. Good customer service goes a long way. We will definitely be back.

Traditional bar and Bistro international menu ,with live music each night open everyday closed Christmas day
The restaurant really lets the bar part of this establishment down. The bar is great and has character and the Guinness is great but the restaurant is another story! The food was extremely average considering the waiting times, we werenât the only table that this was happening to, there were a number of tables around us that were getting frustrated. We eventually got our starter and finished this and waited another 30 mins and no member of the waiting staff came near us. I had to go and get someone to clear our table & get our mains which as previously mentioned were hardly worth the wait.I know this is a well known tourist area and it can be busy at times but there is no excuse for shabby service, the waiting staff really didnât give a hoot they were just going through the motions. Definitely will return to the bar but wonât be eating here again.
