A very pleasant surprise among many mediocre restaurants.Authentic Spanish restaurant, with the Spanish owners. Quality food, excellent and original paella, that is a rarity find outside Spain. Very nice decor, clean facilities. Right on the beach with a private sitting area. Upper deck even has a jacuzzi- could be an awesome place to have a small party. Overall, a great choice, on this trip!

Juan Dolio is a place a refer to as the retirement community. Many Northern Americans venture down to this section of the island to enjoy peace and quiet. However, at night this is the place where many come to enjoy a drink, a little food if hungry and some company upon request. I can't say enough about how the Bartenders accommodated me during my patronage. I recommend this place to all those that come and visit the community of Juan Dolio.

Chill out place with good atmosphere and music, close to beach. Wide range of dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A magic place to relax with your friends. Great relation quality/price Atmósfera relajada con buena música y una gran variedad de platos.

Our very personable host, Sergio, was as accommodating as he could possibly be. This little gem of a cafe/restaurant (seating capacity ~12-16) on the old Beach Road in sleepy Juan Dolio is a real standout in an area dominated by Caribbean eateries. Here you will find crepes, not plantains, bacon & eggs, not rice & beans, the contrasts go on and on. Donât mistake me, I love Dominican food, my only point here is that everything about this establishment is different from the surrounding venues. Prices are very moderate and the meals are delicious. We ate breakfast here twice, enjoyed bottomless cafe Americano-s, generous portions of exceptionally tasty foods, and were generally delighted each time. The music being piped in is not intrusive, and appeals to my tastes - classic rock & roll, ballads, crooners, and so on - again a stark contrast to the omnipresent Latin boom-ba-da-boom / reggae at nearly every other similar cafe. Several smallish tables line each side of a rectangular dining area, a small bar is at the back, the kitchen behind all this. All the food on offer is locally sourced, fresh, top quality. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served, all at very reasonable rates. This was a truly magical experience each time we dined at La Terraza. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting in the area - not to be missed!

We started as a little bakery/pastry and coffee shop and expanded to a complete restaurant where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our menu is international food, we have a brick wood pizza oven too!

We once again very much enjoyed ourselves at Pekara Cafe by the Metro Country Club. Helpful, friendly staff, great food, reasonable pricing - topped off by wonderful site-baked breads and desserts (to die for!), this is a wonderful place to start (or continue!) your day.
