An elegant restaurant, a vibrant steakhouse, an exquisite wine bar and a luxury cocktail lounge make of CianiLugano an experience bound to enthral your senses. In the very heart of the city, between the Palazzo dei Congressi and the lakefront, a pleasant
avoid this place if you want to enjoy good food in a quiete surrounding. In this restaurant the noice level makes it difficult to have a normal conversation without screaming. However, the quality of food is good (expecially meet) and also the service is friendly and competent.Dear n0rbert07,to begin with, thank you for being our guest and for having found time for dedicating us this review which, as every feedback does, gives us hints that are extremely useful for improving our service to the customer.Yes, the format of our restaurant/bar is: a metropolitan atmosphere in the quiet Canton of Ticino, a crowded place with music, good food, beverage, stylish design and good service. We never say we do something different than this, so why give us 3* / 5 just for the "noise" (which one can feel immediately, entering the place), while you say that everything else was valuable? However, we would be happy to have you again as guest on the quieter days (lunch-time, wed-fri-sat at dinner) in the part of the environment farther from the entrance/lounge bar, which is more protect from crowd and music, and offer you prosecco and coffee. Please tell us when: it would be an honor to show you again the good parts of our hospitality recipe.Best regards

A surly waitress did not make our meal enjoyable. She was impatient and unpleasant. We waited while she pointedly ignore us and put cutlery away. When asked politely, in Italian, for he bill, she replied, in Italian, "I'm coming."We walked across the street to another hotel for dessert where we received impeccable service. If I could give this restaurant a minus 2 stars I would have done so.

A friend who is resident in Lugano introduced us to this well-known lakeside restaurant within a very established, some say stuffy, hotel in Lugano. The terrace view is great and we enjoyed an avocado salad, the vegetarian lasagna, and well-prepared salmon. Service was professional but perfunctory. Prices are on the high side, but this is Lugano, Switzerland. We ate well and enjoyed the view.

On our way for a walk and swim in Gandria we popped in here to pick up some food for lunch. What a fantastic find! Friendly service with obvious passion for great food. Fresh ingredients made into an amazing ciabatta and stunning coconut cakes. The ice tea and apple juice were both delicious and refreshing and on a hot day proved perfect to refresh us. You do need to ensure you seek this place out going down the steps to reach it. So pleased we found it and will return on our next visit. Thanks a lots for the nice review. We are glad that you enjoyed our kitchen and had a good lunch time. It is always a pleasure to cook and prepare good food for who appreciate it. Thanks again and see you soon.

Right in the heart of Lugano, the Grand Café Al Porto Restaurant delight its guests at any time of day. Start the day with an aromatic "espresso", a nice breakfast or a delight from the Confiserie Al Porto. At lunchtime be tempted by the "Flavours of the
We stopped here three times during our visit for breakfast, a light snack and coffee/dessert. Outside is great for people watching and enjoying coffee and dessert, inside is elegant for breakfast and the restaurant is a lovely place for light lunch. Friendly service and everything was tasty and the price reasonable. Recommend

The restaurant La Piazzetta is located in the heart of Argegno, and it is the result of the cohesion between tradition and innovation. Our chief aim is the satisfaction of our clientele. First and foremost, here you can find simple dishes, top-notch produ
My friend and I stopped in one evening while in Argegno for just a desert and coffee having been out that day touring Bellagio and already having a feast of a lunch. We were drawn into La Piazzeta by a gentleman who we observed throughout the hour we were there greeting visitors walking by hoping to use his charm to lure them into the establishment. We asked before hand if it was OK to just have a coffee and desert since we already had a large lunch and we were told that it would be fine. There were only a few tables occupied when we arrived. We were promptly seated outside hoping to people watch, but the large planters surrounding the outdoor seating area blocked the view of the small plaza. We proceeded to order a cuppachino, coffee americano, water and two tiramisu. PLEASE NOTE - this review is less about the quality of food served then it is about the value of what you get and their business practices. The rating of the tiramisu was a toss up...one person thought it OK the other person thought it tasted like it was a few days old. The real shocker came when the bill arrived.... 27 Euros !!! For so little food and drink I can only imagine what one would be paying for dinner !!! You better bring 100s of Euros if you donât want to end up washing dishes to pay off your debt. How can one justify a service charge of 6 Euros for two people to just sit down for basically a cup of coffee ??? Better to drive down to Como and sit out on the glorious roof top of the Como Hilton and enjoy the same, but better quality deserts , for less money along with AMAZING music and views.... and you can charge your bill !!!Thatâs right, adding insult to injury...we were informed that we could not charge the bill to our credit card because ..â the machine was brokenâ ..... please.... how old a line is this for establishments to avoid paying the small credit card fee. Why not just post a sign in front of your restaurant clearly saying.... CASH ONLY ? That way guests can decide whether to eat there BEFORE sitting down.Lastly.... I had to laugh when the bill arrived . Along with the bill there was a printed card in Italian ...which I was unable to translate but it had TripAdvisor in bold letters.....Iâm assuming it was a card encouraging guests to submit reviews ...the owner clearly understood the power of Trip Advisor in guiding customers in their dining decision. All I can say is.... look elsewhere if you seek quality dining with value pricing and service. Remember, reviews from customers who enter seeking just a coffee and desert should matter just as much as customers coming in for a three course meal.
