Its a little hidden down a side street but that makes it rather peaceful. Outdoor area is lovely on a sunny day- a great place to chill with a beer. We had breakfast here, the food seems high quality and presented nicely, the breakfasts are like platters with a selection of food depending on which type of platter you've ordered. I had the Scandinavian breakfast which included a lot of smoked salmon, scrambled eggs fruit salad and yoghurt. Its filling. The only downside is the price, its not cheap at over 4 euros for a coffee and the platters are upwards of 11 euros.

We stopped in the town on our way to visit the concentration camp memorial of the same name, just looking for a light lunch. As soon as we stepped in, we just lived the décor with it's shades of duck egg to teal with plain wood.Having very limited German vocabulary, & not being able to identify many options, we settled for the 2 different club sandwiches to share.Oh my! These were without doubt the best sandwiches that we have ever eaten. They were generously filled with a wealth of ingredients including pastrami, pesto, soft cheese, pine nuts, and so much more. An absolute treat for the tastebuds. We enjoyed it so much that our enthusiasm wasn't even dampened by the parking fine we found as we left!

I had the chicken salad with roasted cauliflower sweet strawberries, cucumbers and a nice selection of mixed greens, served with an ample basket of warm rolls. At the end of the meal a complimentary house made truffle. I sat outside over looking the garden. Peaceful and sarene at 11 a.m.,

This was a fantastic place! Cute and quiet the food was tasty! I got the "pasta pan" and goulash, it did not disappoint! Their apple fritter desert was delicious and the locally brewed beer was wonderful. The waiter was great and spoke good English. Overall a fantastic German dining experience!!!

We happened upon this restaurant when we took a wrong turn--and were very glad we did. The food was delicious, plentiful and the waitress was not only super efficient, but friendly too. I ordered a fish that came whole and the waitress expertly skinned and filleted it at the table. The decor is a little kitschy--lots of reindeer and some plastic flowers, but the overall impression was one of warmth and comfort
