Alcobendas (Spanish pronunciation: [alkoˈβenðas]) is a city located in the Community of Madrid, central Spain. It is located roughly 13 kilometres (8 mi) north of Madrid and 7 kilometres (4 mi) from Barajas International Airport. It includes a central urban zone, a recently built district known as Valdelasfuentes, La Moraleja and El Soto de la Moraleja residential zones, the Valdelatas nature reserve and a light industrial estate. A huge business park called Valdelacasa for high-tech firms is being built. It is the location of a basketball museum organised by the Pedro Ferrándiz Foundation where the FIBA Hall of Fame is located.

This restaurant is located in a modern style hotel with large sun-lit rooms. We ate with a large work group and had pre-ordered our entrees so we were able to dine in a relatively efficient manner. The quality of the food was excellent starting with the appetizers including some outstanding olives, a rich tomato soup from Andalusia, and the entrees which were limited to merluza (super fresh and tasty) and a large piece of beef (perfectly done). The service was excellent. Definitely worth a visit for the quality of the food.

Just visited Luis ll for late lunch/early dinner and couldn't be happier with its outstanding food and excellent customer service. The calamari rings, baby calamari, Jamon Iberico and bacalao bites we ordered for entree were superb. For main we ordered fish and arroz con carabineros -sorry if I misspelled-. I can't find the appropriate words to make the dishes justice. I can only say it's some of the best food I have tried in many years. The cake sampler we ordered for dessert was just the perfect closure to an outstanding meal. I will certainly come back to Luis II and strongly recommend it if you come to Madrid/San Sebastián de los Reyes.

The concept here is really weird - upon arrival you are made to select all courses, dishes and pay before being shown to a seat, this process and queuing took about 12 minutes. This is longer than McDonalds...Weird eh? The presentation of the dishes appears good at first appearance but then you observe the finger prints around the crockery and cutlery. The "Lentejas" / Lentil soup was burnt, how do you get a burnt flavour into soup? With one of the fish dishes the rocket lettuce occupied about 50% of the plate, not high cuisine!The soufflé was served cold and uninviting with an overload of cinnamon.

Fuimos a cenar con unos amigos y la verdad que nos sorprendió. Playos y oinchos elaborados fuera de o común. Lo ideal es compartir para poder probar. Lo bueno que tienen medias raciones por lo que se puede ir 2 personas y pedir vatiedad. Alguna racion un poco escasa para 4 como la de cochinillo que esta muy rico pero un poco escaso. Todo estaba muy bueno. Quizas un pelin caro pero no esta mal de vez en cuando.

Nice food, nice atmosphere, nice service and nice location... What else? ( featuring George Clooney) Menu is not extremely long but the good thing is you can't fail. I have tried at least 70% of the dishes and I like them all, specially the grilled veggies and the burger. Small advice for the bread lovers: no bread with the burger is included. For the foodies.- Mussels, tartar, veggies, burger, onion soup, salmon, truffle eggs, pasta, anything. And the wine menu is very reasonable price wise and very balanced! You have most of the grapes in the wine menu. Feel free to ask for advice or suggestions should you feel so. Happy to help!

El Chalet Suizo (The Swiss Chalet) is a restaurant located by the highway A1 km 15, near a Swiss Club. We sometimes go there for business lunchs (14-15 EUR) and it is always a great choice. Fresh simple food, nice service, lovely environment (especially in Spring/Summer). Recommended.
