Hotel Relais Al Convento is situated in the medieval village of Vezzano Ligure, on the hills at the back of the Cinque Terre, only few kilometres away from the wonderful maritime villages of Lerici, San Terenzo and Portovenere, pearls of the Gulf of the Poets. Before the accurate restoration the hotel was an ancient cloister dating back to the XVI century. Today it keeps unchanged the charm and the mysticism of its origins. It has 18 rooms where guests can spend unique and exclusive stays at only 8 km from the sea.It has a check-in area, a private garden, Wi-Fi connection in a common area and restaurant with large choice of Ligurian typical dishes from both land and sea.

Reviewed By SteenC946From the moment we first in contacted the hotel the receptionist Yanet was ever so helpful and did everything possible to make our stay beyond expectations. Rooms are newish, large and exactly the style you would expect from a little mountain village hotel. Vezzano is a wonderful little mountaintop village 15 mins drive from La Spezia and the ideal get away from the city and it is still not touristy. The is no restaurant for dinner but a small Osteria across from the hotel which is all right but nothing spectacular when Italy offers so many excellent small restaurants. Ask in the hotel reception and the have a list of nearby good restaurants. The New Spa is impressive but would be perfect if the girls were more skilled at massage.

The B & B "I tre abeti" is situated in a quiet rural area only 5 km from the historic center of La Spezia. The property comprises 3000 square meters of flat garden, a pool of 10 x 5 meters. We have umbrellas and lounge chairs for relaxing. Breakfast can be served indoors, or outdoors in a lovely gazebo where you are surrounded by greenery and tranquility which offers our B & B.
Definitely recommend this place! Would love to go back.
Reviewed By Silvia81NLWhat a lovely surprise this was!! We received a very warm welcome by a man who's English wasn't great but together we tried our best to understand each other. He showed us around and explained everything. There are two really kind dogs living here. The owner asked us of we would mind the dogs walking around, which we didn't. If you're afraid of dogs maybe this isn't the place for you, but the dogs just made it more special to us. The apartment looks really new and modern. It is big enough for 2 people and it was clean. The kitchen has everything you need and the bathroom even has deodorant. The bed was too hard for me but my partner slept great. In the garden there's a pool you can use which we did and we loved it! It's a big plus! Breakfast is simple but good. We wanted to stay an extra night but unfortunately that wasn't possible. We had no network reception on our phones and the WiFi wasn't really stable. I must say we didn't ask the owners about it or asked them to reset the WiFi. Maybe after a reboot it would have been good.

Reviewed By OvidiuH67We stayed 4 nights, 2 couples, between 27.04- 01.05.2018 in this B&B just near La Spezia and we felt like home grace to Daniela and Attilio, perfect hosts. 1.Location It was ideal, to explore Southern Liguria by rent car. Access to and from highway very easy, in 5 minutes, and still the place very quite and green, placed on a hill. Day one, 1 hour driving to Lucca (great) in the South, then Pisa and returning in the evening through wonderful Pietra Santa (don't miss it). Next day Cinque Terre by boat from La Spezia and coming back in the evening by train. Actually we visited only Riomaggiore, Manarola, Vernazza and Monterosso, without Corniglia. Don't miss Portovenere which is not in the "Cinque" but it is lovely and less crowded. You can reach it only by boat. It is 26 EUR one way ticket. Train back is 5 EUR from Monterosso. The car remained in the huge parking near harbour in La Spezia, we paid 10.5 EUR for 10 hours. The 3-rd day, Camogli, Santa Margherita Ligure and then Portofino, which was our absolute preferate of the entire trip. Exceping the prices.... :)), one dish was 35-40 EUR, in any restaurant. Three times more than in any other place we have visited. 2. Accomodation Simple room but spotless clean; the only minus, Wi-fi not working in the 2 rooms on the left; in the breakfast room and outside, working. 3. Food Breakfast was great, one of the highlights of this B&B; buffet, diverse and plenty, from salted (different kinds of ham, prosciutto, so on) and cheese, to yogurth and juices bio, fruits and excellent sweets made in a local farm bakery (Attilio, the croissant with pears and chocolate was incredible good :) . 4. Daniela and Attilio (the administrators) Yes, they deserve an entire chapter, we owe them the quality of our vacation. Their recommendation for dinner at restaurant La Nuova Spezia was so good (quality/price) that we went again the next evening and it was even better! They also convinced us to include in our circuit places which we didn't plan (Camogli, Pietra Santa, Portovenere) each of them was great choice. But most of all, their kindness, gentilezza and goodwill impressed us and made such a nice atmosphere for our time spent there; we feel we made two new friends in you, Daniela and Atillio ! As a last detail, but important, they found out from passports that both my wife and my friend's birthday were exactly in that period and they prepared two wonderful surprises in the morning for each of them ! Conclusion : Great place for a very convenient price (bellow 60 eur/room/night), highly recommended !

He made sure we had a ride to and from the station everyday and they made us great breakfasts and were very friendly, Roberto even went out of his way to give us tips on when the best times to catch the trains are, and had passes that we could purchase for the Cinque Terre train line. A fantastic stay!
