Reviewed By Expedition320171Pet friendly, quiet, clean, comfortable room. The staff very friendly, helpful and spoke English with us, as we did not speak French. The buffet breakfast was very good. Parking was super convenient directly outside of our room. Would definitely stay here again!

Good food, noisy room, weak wifi
Reviewed By ZozmachineNice enough room. Restaurant food was excellent, though they should have had more staff working. My main issues were the fans --- the one in the room was very loud, but turning it off would have made the room too hot. Hard to sleep. The bathroom fan comes on every time you turn on the light and is like a jet engine. Way too loud; very unpleasant. The wifi in our room was very very weak and kept kicking out every 30 minutes. I was trying to listen to youtube meditations to help me sleep and had to get up every half hour to reconnect the wifi. Slept very badly on account of these issues.

Beware of the "Bait and switch"
Reviewed By 951peterjDo yourself a favor, go to the Noranda instead. Well worth a few bucks more. At least, their bathroom sinks are not cracked, the shower head covers are where they should be. I originally booked at the Deville, advertised as available through expedia, Then I received call a few days before arrival and convinced me to stay at the Best Western hotel instead because the Deville was closed. Why then did they allow me to book at the Deville when they knew it was closed?? Not right. Called Expedia after I checked in, and they explained what they did is not legal, and unprofessional. They were not happy. Expedia got me out of that s... hole and went to the Noranda. Thank you Expedia!

The Quality Inn is across from Walmart and Canadian Tire, a licensed convenience store with gasoline is located opposite the hotel. We are 5 minutes from downtown.
Warm welcome in a snowstorm!
Reviewed By janiam07We arrived with no notice at this hotel during a weekend snowstorm and at the height of snowmobile season. The manager, Julie, was very kind and welcoming, making sure that she gave us a quiet room at the back with a beautiful therapy tub. She also asked her staff to prioritize a room for cleaning so that we could get in earlier than the usual time, as we got there at noon. Despite the fact that the hotel was busy, Julie acted in an unhurried, courteous and super friendly manner. It helped us unwind from the very stressful drive in blinding snow. As a bonus, the hotel is very clean and nicely decorated, AND there’s covered parking. A hot breakfast was included, with lots of choice, and the hotel is attached to a restaurant for drinks and dinner. Other hotels in town were somewhat cheaper, but I’m very glad we paid the extra.

Horrible treatment by hotel receptionist.
Reviewed By 684macpDo not stay here unless you are French speaking. Me and my family confirmed our booking at 5pm Aug 8th with reception who assured us there is 24/7 check in. When we arrived a very arrogant receptionist, a young man with long brown hair said he "doubted" I had spoke to someone because he "didn't think I could". He told us to go somewhere else as we had "no showed" even though they assured us of 24/7 check in. Thanks to hotel Albert me and my family were put in a dangerous situation with no where else able to accommodate us. Shame on this boy, we are all Canadians and even if we weren't this is NO WAY TO TREAT ANOTHER HUMAN BEING. We may take legal action and/or get the media involved, I don't want this happening to anyone else. The hotel is investigating this matter and I will update the review if/when an apology is issued by management but so far nothing. BE WARNED!!!

Friendly, Clean, Comfortable, Affordable

I never heard of the town before but it was about 10.5hours from Thunder Bay so it worked for me. I was happy to find a place and I didn't expect much but to be honest it definitely exceeded my expectations ! Location is good with gas and groceries near by. Staff was friendly and the lady spoke English. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. I'd highly recommend this motel for anyone in the area.
