Reviewed By Captain-KirkDNice hotel for the area. Nicely decorated room. Parking was limited and there was no climate control in the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a small lift from the lobby to each floor, but you will have to climb a few stair from any entrance to get to the lobby

Nice but needs some TLC
Reviewed By tonyxr4Visited Hotel Melodie on our way home from Spain. Wasn’t sure what to expect but it was okay. Air conditioning is a must in this hotel. Was so very hot and a fan just doesn’t cut it. It’s very basic but I guess your not going to get to much from a 2 star hotel. The guy who spoke very good English was most helpful as it was a Sunday (or because of Covid) the bar and restaurant was closed, directed us to a nearby Buffalo Grill. Good basic hotel for a short stay if weather isn’t hot.

Beautiful rooms, friendly hosts
Reviewed By RubyH384We stayed for one night in A La Grenouille and were very impressed with the rooms, the welcome, the friendly hosts. The beds were super comfortable, the rooms gorgeous. Be aware that the house is actually on a small street, tucked away with a corner drive way, and if you arrive at night looking for the sprawling lawn in the photo, you will think SatNav got it terribly wrong. Look instead for a narrow gate in the bend of concrete buildings. Beyond lies parking for three cars and a garden. Expect a warm welcome, two dogs (we saw absolutely no cats) and a lovely breakfast.

OK, but....
Reviewed By Captain-KirkDI was in the region for business and chose this city for proximity to my customer. This was my first stay in this city and chose this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews.... First, the rooms are recently renovated and look like the photos. All of the floors are covered with a laminate flooring so noise from anywhere in the hotel travels unabated- it is much louder than a typical hotel. Noise travels from the front desk, breakfast area, all downstairs common areas, up the staircase (no elevator) under the door and into the room of anyone staying on the the first floor. Our credit card used to hold the room was charged in full prior to check in (which was not supposed to happen) which prevented us from presenting our own cards for payment. The staff was unavailable at 7:00am for checkout (did not arrive until 7:30). The rate, however, was good. You get what you pay for. This may be a great option for some, but I will look for another option on my next visit.

That makes our place a key stopover during business stays in the Plastic Vallee or during tourism stays, to discover the Jura plateaux or the Bugey mountain

Poor welcome , stingy for smiles
Reviewed By alain bNot a very hearty welcome in this place and expensive for half board . We had one person with special regime and unfortunately a plate was served with fish which was prohibited. Requesting a change for this, i was rebuked by the owner stating that she did not want to make a special plate for everybody. Breakfast was ok
