Reviewed By JBBTravelerClean and quiet. The absolute nicest staff welcomed us. The breakfast was great. More options than we expected. I would definitely stay here again. One family had the triple queen room which is perfect for families. My husband and I had a king bed.

Great stop on the way to the Black Hills
Reviewed By lisahF1122BMWe had a last minute change of plans ( the hotel we reserved was closed without telling us) and picked Range Country after seeing the positive reviews. Room was clean and quiet. Bed was very comfortable and had a very nice fleece blanket instead of the usual (and often icky) comforter. Brandon at the desk was very welcoming. We did not eat the breakfast which was sparse, but we usually bring our own foods on our trips. We did not use the pool but we never do. I would certainly stay here again.

Reviewed By lorijodeWe stopped here one night around 10:00pm after driving all day. The room was clean and comfortable, just what we needed. I would recommend staying there and I would stay there again if we need a place in this area. It is also close to gas and food is nearby.

Horrible place

I checked in after being on the road for 10 hours and the woman at the desk had a terrible time running my credit card, then she handed me a key for the room. When I used the key, there were someone else's things on the floor of the room and both beds were unmade. I went back to the front desk and told the lady I was not staying there and asked why she gave me a key to a room that was occupied. She said that she thought it was vacant. I asked why she gave me a key to an occupied room and she looked at a notebook saying that she thought it was vacant. I asked for a refund of my credit card charge and she said she didn't know how to do that. I checked into a different motel down the street and the desk clerk there said the woman that waited on me was the owner. Shady at best, I would NOT recommend this place at all. I had to contact my credit card company to get the charge reversed. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!!!

Bed bugs!!
Reviewed By X4134AYmirandaI stayed here one night and was eaten up by bed bugs. I have horrible red itchy welts all over my left arm. So disgusting and made for a miserable vacation after. Stay away from this place!! The walls here are also paper thin and we barely got any rest due to the loud people next door. I would advise traveling down the road a land paying for a quality hotel.

Just what we were looking for.
Reviewed By kevan jWe had a very nice experience here. The place is a bit dated, and is not fancy--but it had everything we look for in a one night hotel experience as we drive across the country. Right next to the interstate, and the people at the front desk were super friendly, even though we came in very late. The room (second room behind the office, I think room # 14) was clean, smelled nice, and had good beds. We had seen a review complaining about the lights outside the windows so after we checked in, I simply unscrewed the bulb until it turned off, and then our room was nice and dark...all night. (Of course, in the morning I screwed it back in). The room was also very reasonably priced. We will definitely stay here again next time we travel through South Dakota.
