Not a great deal of choice in Montabaur
Reviewed By GeraldS834Clean but pretty basic rooms. Some of the beds are extremely narrow and some of the rooms require several flights of stairs. The staff were not good at replenishing things like tissues which contained two tissues on arrival and remained empty through to our departure on day three. The hotel had a well reputed restaurant but during our stay, the menu was restricted and certain dishes were unavailable. Breakfast was fairly comprehensive but no fruit was offered on our first morning. The hotel is conveniently situated in the centre of town close to the Rathaus.

In my opinion, it is more of a conference hotel not a romantic hangout.
Reviewed By CelineBrusselsIt is not a romantic hotel but a conference hotel in my opinion. The hotel is mainly for people attending conference and travellers. It is very clean and staff are helpful and welcoming. The atmosphere is mainly business like. The dinner is self service. We were given a superior room on the top floor with a large terrace in the new building (could be the only one). The room is modern and stylish but a bit on the small size. The view from our room is fantastic. The air conditioning was very noisy when it changed temperature but my husband managed to sleep through the night. Price of the buffet dinner is very good and with big variety. Breakfast is very nice and you can sit in the outdoor terrace with great view. You can check out at 12 noon only on Sunday or else you need to check out at 10. The price of the room (if we were not given the best room) is a bit expensive for the location and what it has to offer.

Nice stay at the Lowenguth
Reviewed By ivancontextI spent four nights at this hotel and I enjoyed its quiet and comfy atmosphere. The room and toilets were comfy and very clean. Breakfast was also good (but it's served until 10am only) and stuff was very friendly . All in all, everything seems to be nice and in right order but I felt that the hotel would benefit of a renovation and some decoration..

Great little hotel in Montabaur
Reviewed By Bina123The hotel exceeded our expectations. Not sure where 2 star rating is coming from, we were very pleased with our stay. The lady who runs the hotel (sorry didn't get her name) was super sweet, speaks English perfectly. She explained everything in detail, was very accommodating. Breakfast had good selection and excellent coffee. The room was on a small side, but very adequate for our needs. Super clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect if you want to explore the old town and the castle, yet just 10 min walking distance from the train station.
