A great range of accommodation options at the very start of the Abel Tasman.
The Barn cabins & camp is one of the best camping that we have been. The location is perfect, just in front of the beach and besides the Abel Tasman track. The Campground is well looked after, big and plenty of possibilities. Queen cabins are very convinient, beds and pillows are great. The kitchen is full equipped and really big, toilets and showers are nice also. Outdoor common area is warming. We would come back if we had the chance. They don't discriminate!!!

Set in native bush, with spectacular ocean views, our private self contained chalets offer the perfect getaway. Start the day with a scrumptious buffet breakfast and a smile.
Our 1 bedroom chalet was perfect for a couple. Very well equipped, serviced daily. Fantastic panorama from our balcony and very private. Comfortable bed, visiting piwakawaka and a pleasure to return to after touring Tasman and Golden Bays.

Kia Ora! Welcome to Marahau's only 100% dedicated backpacker accommodation. We are a new family run backpackers with emphasis on rest and relaxation. Situated in the centre of Marahau, right beside Kayak and Aqua Taxi options, we are in the perfect location. 400m from the beach and 700m from the National Park entrance and Park Cafe, nothing over 5 minute walk away. Our venue is large and spacious with big communal areas, so you are not bound to your rooms. Big outdoor areas, grass and courtyard, picnic tables, bbq's, indoor and outdoor fireplaces. There's plenty of entertainment areas- we have a large cinema with thousands of movies, darts, fuzeball, pool tables, video games. We sell food on site to remove the burden of cooking your own dinners; breakfasts, packed lunches, including Barista coffee and cold drinks. The dorms are air conditioned in summer and heated in winter to ensure your best night sleep, along with personal charging ports and a reading lamp for each bed.
Stayed 3 nights 2 before my trip and 1 night at the end of my trip. This hostel is amazing. Such a friendly place for both families, groups and single people. I stayed as a single person, then within a group. I was able to leave some of my gear at the hostel whilst hiking around the able tasman and also we were able to stay a little later whilst waiting for our shuttle bus. Very accommodating and helpful. Thank you so much. Really appreciate your help. Can't rate your hostel enough. Highly recommend. Great air conditioning. Thank you.

Owner Bill and Rose have three self-contained cottages with full kitchen and fridge. Accommodation is right next to AquaTaxi and half a km walk from the entrance to the Abel Tasman National Park.
We stayed here the night before and the night after our walk which proved to be a great idea. Able Tasman Haven is ~ 600 metres from the highly recommended Park Cafe and the entrance to the Great Walk. The accommodation was everything we needed, comfortable set up, Fridge, Microwave, Hot plate, Filtered water, Good shower and outdoor chairs and table. We were also able to leave our car here for the duration of our walk. Rose was a friendly host.

Our classic Kiwi camping ground is just steps away from the gorgeous Marahau beaches. We’re also located right next to the departure point for sea kayaking and water taxi trips into the Abel Tasman National Park. This makes us the perfect base for your Abel Tasman adventure.
Super helpful service from the caretakers getting our car started when our battery was flat. He was a lifesaver. The backpacker lodge we stayed in was very clean and perfect for our group. Marahau Beach at sunrise was beautiful and one minute's walk away.
