We came to this venue as a result of a last minute let down by another hotel in the area. Being a hostel we were not sure what we were going to get . What we did get was a clean functional room . Price was also pretty good as some of the other places on the island appeared to want you to buy the property . The staff were likewise good and actually cared about their job. We will be keeping this on file and will use it again when next in the area . also worth noting is that it is dog friendly.

Had a 3 day stay at Witchwood house. Friendly gent welcomed us at the reception next to the Saucy Mary bar, and walked us along to the house about 50 years along the road. Stayed in room 3 which was clean and very homely, also dog friendly. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom. We had a meal and a few drinks in the Saucy Mary as well as breakfast. Food was good, and the staff were also friendly, Also dog friendly. Would happily book here again. The village was very quiet and made our relaxing break all the more enjoyable.

Skye's newest guest house opened March 2022
We were here for 3 days, it's situated as soon as you come off Skye Bridge, it's well sign posted. Big carpark at front, rooms were renovated and they were immaculate, there was a warm airiness to our room, bathroom was showroom quality.

Situated close to the Skye Bridge in the village of Kyleakin; the Kings Arms Hotel offers views across the Kyle of Lochalsh to the mainland. The Kings Arms is one of the oldest remaining hotels on the island dating back to the 1600s, and has retained its traditional Scottish atmosphere of great hospitality and warmth. All rooms are en suite and provide home from home comforts. The Hotel offers the ideal location from which to tour the Isle.
The lady at reception was very friendly and kept her cool with a very demanding Argentinian woman checking in before us, hat's off to her. The check-out gentleman was a bit less amused with his work. The room was fine, a bit on the hot side, but just open the window and hope for the best. Later at night it got a lot colder so hey. Sufficient parking options nearby. Restaurant was fully booked (as were a lot of other restaurants in the small seaside town) due to literal busloads of coaches, so keep that in mind if you're not part of a coach tour.

The HIllside is a private home with a gentleman owner who was very friendly & gracious for our stay & resides with his dog Mollie in a separate section of the home. A staircase leads from the front door to the 2nd floor with 3 bedrooms. Room assigned was large, clean, comfortable with reading lamps, TV with DVD and selection of movies. Bathroom shared with 1 other room on the floor which has a twin bed. Bathroom adequate with tub/shower and amenities. View overlooked the river. Breakfast offered as traditional Scottish or cold continental in downstairs breakfast room. Parking available on site and within short walk into small town with restaurants. Location great for access to bridge and easy drive to reach sites on north/south/west on the Isle of Skye. Definitely recommend & would return if again on the Isle of Skye.

Absolutely Awful, avoid at all costs. Having arrived around 6pm, we were met with an empty check in desk. Once somebody eventually showed up, we were told to fill in a check in form, then given our room keys (room 7) We asked what time dinner was available until, to be bluntly told there was no restaurant for dinner. This surprised us as the breakfast menu cards clearly had printed on them 'have you booked your evening meal with us?' The room we were given was classed as the honeymoon suite. It was absolutely disgusting. It had clearly not had a good clean in years. The inside door handle was hanging off the door, only being held on with one screw. The shower was awful, a dripping tap would of had more pressure. The windows were filthy and were full of cobwebs, one of the windows was even broken. The whole room was filthy and extremely dated. I looked around the public areas of the hotel to find the whole building was filthy and in desperate need of investment and a deep clean. I was horrified to see one of the smoke detectors had a plastic cover over it, rendering the unit useless in the event of a fire. As we were in the middle of touring the coastal roads of the Highlands (North Coast 500), we were limited on time so couldn't find another place to stay at such short notice, otherwise we would have left immediately.
