By the sunny shores of Stabbestad, lies Kragerø Resort - one of Scandinavia's most extravagant spa resorts and the new pride of lifestyle hotels. At the resort, you will also find one of Norway's finest golf courses.
Kragerø Resort is a very nice place to stay, and the staff is absolutely top class. The check-in was quick and easy and we got a room with a nice view over the golf courses. The room itself was a little bit old and worn, and it was not possible to lock the door to the terrace (broken handle/lock). We had the buffet for dinner, and for sure the selection was great ranging from sushi, fish, meat, salads and different seafood (schrimps, oysters++). The sushi itself was a little tasteless, but absolutely ok. The breakfast buffet was also very good, so a good start on the day. The spa itself was more like a normal pool-area, but nice to get a dip and take sauna, and not too many people due to a system where you get a specific time to be there. But a little bit worn and not a place you go for realaxation and calm, but ok. Outside there is a hining trail of 8.5km, absolutely worth it, best therapy and you can go there with normal clothes as well. All in all a nice experience and will for sure return to Kragerø Resort.

Tollboden Hotell and Restaurant is located at the sea, in the city center of Kragerø, famous for its over 490 islands and skerries. Each of the 13 rooms and suites in the heritage property from 1785 have a unique charme. Guests can enjoy both water and gardenviews. To offer the best comfort, guests can choose from a blanket and pillow menu. A continental breakfast is included in the roomprice and guests can enjoy onsite lunch and dining in one of the two restaurants. Tollboden Hotell and Restaurant has a big winecellar with over 10.000 bottles and a bar as well. Enjoy the coastal life with lots of culture and stunning nature.
I stayed at this hotel as part of a weekend yoga retreat for 2 nights. Even though this was the first time the hotel organized such an event -with minor hiccups- the total experience was just wonderful. The hotel itself is amazing, the perfect combination of modern and historic. Kudos to the interior designer who obviously respects the walls from the 1700s but managed to make this a top-comfy environment. The hotel restaurants (one by the water and the other in the back garden surrounded by the various historic buildings) were top notch. The service was professional but friendly at the same time (a find in Norway by the way) - and that food! We had the pleasure to meet and thank the head chef, #DaveCook in person. Triple gin tonic caviar anyone? Just WOW. This is a gem of a place. Just go!

In the very heart of Kragero you simply can't miss the characteristic pink building known as Victoria Hotel. The hotel was built in 1880 and has been run under the name Victoria Hotel since 1901. The small coastal shipping town Kragero in Telemark has been a popular holiday destination for the well-founded, artists and writers from the beginning of the 19th century. The hotel has 33 rooms in various sizes. All from comfortable single-rooms to larger suites. Many of our rooms has balconies, each with a lovely sea view. All of the rooms are newly refurbished in a classical continental style with a maritime touch. Dark shipdeck flooring in combination with light colors on both walls and ceiling, clean styled furniture and tiled bathrooms in all of our rooms. Several of the rooms also have modern and well equipped kitchens. In the summer-season, the many narrow streets in Kragero is filled up with sunshine and tourists. It's amazing how much activity one can find all around in this little town, almost around the clock. Kragero offers lots of consert-arrangements and teeming boat life in the summer. But this coastal city also changes colors in harmony with each season. From September, the town's pulse starts slowing down and Kragero becomes an idyllic place to take a break from everyday life. Feel at home, away from home. Our rooms are not only furnished for accommodation but also for a few hours with possibilities to enjoy the view from the balcony, read, watch TV, work, cook or simply just to enjoy the feeling of relaxation without any obligations.
Vicoria Hotel is dated and need refurbishing. Running a hotel in an old building is, of corse, a challenge not very well solved here. The air in the rooms are not good and when you open a window you let the noise in. Did not get any sleep in my two nights here.

Nice little place which doesn’t over promise but delivers well. Relaxing place not far from the town centre with ample free parking and a decent breakfast buffet. Ability to rent bikes and kayaks. Room was a little hot, but we stayed during a heatwave on the south coast.

Portør Pensjonat is a restaurant with rooms located as far out in the Kragerø archipelago that you can get. We serve lovely home made food, and have simple and welcoming rooms. Perfect for a quiet and relaxing escape from the every day hustle and bustle. The area around our Pensjonat is protected from development, and has lovely swimming areas, beautiful views and a tranquil atmosphere! We can't wait to welcome you!
Great combo of decent food, friendly service and good atmosphere. Perfect for hosting a party, bringing friends or family, or just havo g a drink after a lazy summer day. New management has done wonders for this place. They also have live concerts weekly?
