We really enjoyed the lovely relaxed atmosphere, very nice beer and super good food that was very reasonably priced. Totally recommend the chicken kebab. So fresh and tasty and not at all dry as they can often be. Would recommend and we are looking forward to trying the carvery.

We spent 2 nights at this lovely B&B. Very friendly host and could not ask for more. We had everything we needed in the spacious room with exceptional en-suite. Very clean, had 2 great nights sleep in the queen size beds. Beautiful luxury bedding. My husband loved the bed, loved the breakfast which was very tasty and included a vegetarian option. My husband particularly loved the powerful shower. The towels smelled so fresh my husband couldn’t stop smelling them. We just couldn’t fault anything. Our host was also very knowledgable on the surrounding area and has tried out lots of the walks and places to visit so can advise you about all the places that are suitable for dogs or lovely castles to visit. We gad our dog with us and she was spoilt too. Lovely extra touches for both humans and doggies. Treats, towels for your dogs. Nice little table and chairs to sit outside in the nice weather. Will definitely be returning. A vehicle is a must have as in the country and not many pathways along the roads. Nearby waterfalls were amazing!! Also the rate for the room is very reasonable. Tried out a nearby restaurant called The Stagg Inn and the food was Very very tasty. Again this was recommended by our host Izzy as she had tried them out before. Amazing weekend away with husband and my pooch.

After a dismal night in Hay-on-Wye this was fantastic. Yes the stairs are narrow but what do you expect in such an old building. The bed was huge and very comfortable, there was a bath with piping hot water and the shower above was excellent. Tina had left some old newspapers out to stuff in our wet boots (we were walking Offas Dyke). Breakfast was great, freshly cooked by Tina. Cannot recommend here highly enough.

We stayed for a long weekend after getting married between lockdowns. WOW. What can I say. Wonderful welcome from Izzy and Ethan. Pooch was beside himself when he saw them and Ella and Monet. Room was spotless, luxurious, cosy, warm and welcoming. Pooch had his own chaise longue with blanket and toy. Welcome goodies were yummy too. Wonderful nights sleep. Bed very comfy. Shower was hot and powerful. Brilliant. Breakfast was delicious, good quality ingredients, all cooked to perfection and delivered at your time of choice. Pooch refused to get in the car on a day trip as he thought we were going home. He sulked for ages. Cheered up when we arrived back at Izzys. We loved the way that the guest accommodation was separate to the main house, so we felt that we weren't disturbing anyone each time the pooch wanted to spend a penny. Safe dog area was a real bonus. wereWe had great weather for the time of year, but we are hoping to go back in the summer/early autumn to enjoy the countryside more. Visited the Cider Barn. Highly recommended. Great staff and food. We would highly recommend a visit to anyone, but we would also be worried that we might not get booked in. Xxx
