The Fern Sardar Sarovar Resort is a 250 rooms resort offering one of a kind multi-cuisine restaurant, swimming pool, gym, spa, board room and state-of-art banquet halls. The resort is situated close to Statue of Unity – the tallest statue on the world.
Classic example of failure of Interior Design. More than 150 sq. ft. room has AC with 1 ton capacity. AC not visible from Bed and Fan 10 ft away from the Bed. Worst experience ever. I would definitely not recommend anyone to visit this hotel. Pathetic.

We (8 adults & 1 child) had a memorable 2N/3D trip to the Statue of Unity (SOU) during 24-26May’2022. We stayed in the Premium Cottages at Tent City1. -The ‘Campus’ was large and well maintained. The kids enjoyed Swimming & Cycling during leisure hours. -The ‘Rooms’ were spacious enough and quite good with all the basic amenities, the House Keeping was always prompt. -The ‘Restaurant’ had only Veg. menu, but with a choice of several options from a large buffet spread (Soup & Starter to Dessert), the Food was tasty and excellent. -The SiC arrangements, during the outdoor location Sightseeings, were quite comfortable, with a stock of water bottles. Our special thanks are due to: (1) Ms. Megha (Ahmedabad Office), who guided and helped us (with patience & zeal) during the booking formalities. (2) Mr. Feroze (Reception/Front Office-in-Charge at Tent City1) and his Staff (Ms. Gayatri & Ms. Harsha Wankhede & others), who took care of us on arrival & departure and were always there to help us. (3) Mr. Souvik Das (Restaurant-in-Charge) & his Staff, who made sure that we were served properly and sumptuously during all the meals (i.e. Lunch, Dinner & BF). (4) Mr. Vishal Patel (Guide) & his colleague Mr. Priyanshu, who were with us all the time during SiC travel, telling us about each location in brief. There was nothing to complain about. Everything was just perfect and impeccable. Even our last minute requests were promptly taken care of. They all couldn’t have been more thoughtful then and we can’t be less thankful now. Cheers!

I had to book this as Tent City was full. But to my surprise it turned out to be a good hotel. Despite the budget tag in name, many so called 3 star hotels in India will fail before it. Good spacious rooms with ample amenities. It is a much cheaper option than highly overpriced tent city. I had earlier sayed in Tent City-2. You will only miss the night life with music, cycling etc of tent city. On the other hand, it offered a peaceful ambience in the forest like area. Food in the restaurant is good. Pl keep in mind that there is no attendent to carry your luggage. It is self service once your key is handed over at chek-in. It is about 3 km from the entrance of SoU. Only thing that bothered me is that this hotel may host weddings as ther is a garden area for this, which will spoil your night.

This homestay should be reviewed separately for different categories of rooms. The hotel has just nine or ten rooms spread over three floors including the ground floor. Six rooms are situated in the backside of the hotel but facing the beautiful Narmada river. These rooms have a big terrace facing the river where you can spend quality time just watching the river. These rooms are of good size having comfortable clean beds, effective split airconditioners an LCD TV and clean towels. Now come to the rest of the rooms. These rooms are smaller in size and new window view. The size of these rooms is discomfortingly small. And finally, common for all rooms. The biggest drawback of the homestay is its faulty plumbing. First of all, there is no cistern to flush the commodes, instead just a tap water supply has been provided which is unable to clean the pot. Further, this problem aggravates due to the low pressure of the water. If you are on the top floor rooms, chances are very high that the water supply interrupts while you are taking a shower. Bathrooms are too small and poorly designed causing the washbasin to be placed just adjacent to the commode. No exhaust fan has been provided causing humidity in the room. Breakfast has very limited options like poha noodles etc. Can be chosen if you get the river sided room.

Spacious rooms, but poor cleanliness wrt rooms, toilets, bed linen, corridors. Corners of the bathrooms and corridors are full of mould and dirt. Bad linen is seldom changed. No tea /coffee in rooms, no Internet except in a few rooms, that too at 2 Mbps. Same with TV channels, a very limited options there. Outsourced breakfast is too poor with a few options. The owner's attitude is too rude and unprofessional who asked for extra charges if you ask for ceramic cups for tea instead of leaking paper cups. Don't book with free breakfast since the same breakfast can be had for Rs.150 per head at the same restaurant. The worst part is that the hotel charges full rent in advance before check-in. Summarily, the hotel is overpriced by around Rs.1500 at Rs 4000 per night. Book only if available below 3000.
