We spent one night here. The hotel is clean and modest. It is literally across the street from the ruins. The host is so kind and helpful. We got just what we needed: a good nights sleep; an good breakfast, good advice and a walk across the street to the Roman ruins. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Everything you want will be available here, either it is mountainous greenery or peaceful location. This place is met all our expectations except one that it's swimming pool. Dislikes: It's swimming pool, it didn't had clean water and also there was no temperature control in it.

It was originally built as a family home 1982,by one of the christians inhabitant of Jerash, emigrated to the USA. The facility was rented in 2007,to Gabriel Umbert, part of the French archaeological team. He fill in love with the city, and transformed the house to an art and culture corner. Now we invested in the refurbishment and renovation of rooms and ancillary rooms, to make it as a hostel,
I had visited Ajloun in the morning and by the time i arrived in Jerash it was too hot to start exploring the ruins so i checked in at the Blue House Gerasa. There was nobody else there so i decided to take the dormitory which had bunk beds, enough to accommodate 4 people. Mahmoud, the owner was out when i arrived so his family showed me the room, ref, hot and cold water for drinks, the bathroom and the roof terrace. It is great to relax on the terrace in the cooler evenings, and i had a real surprise when the huge breakfast arrived at 7 am in the morning. It was really enough for 2 people but i tried my best and managed to get through half of it. There were bread rolls, boiled eggs, 2 types of cheese, olives, baklava, labneh, hummus, spices with coffee or tea. The owner Mahmoud was rather busy so i only spent 10 minutes talking to him, but he seemed very knowledgable and friendly (as he was a government licensed tour guide for the whole of Jordan). Would love to return here one day, just for the breakfast !!!!

What a luvly place. Beautiful views, wonderful breakfasts (Jordanian --style), such friendly and helpful staff and management, the most amazing sunsets and just beautiful views of the moon when it is up. We luvd our stay here and are grateful to Mohammed, Fayez and the young men who went out of their way to make us comfortable (evening going to the market on the night of our arrival to find us some food!). Thank you for making our stay and time there so very special. xxx
