Hotel
I booked two nights, traveling alone, speaking very little Japanese, because I wanted to be relatively close to the Shonan Marathon which I ran yesterday. The hotel is 2 minutes walk from Hiratsuka Station - just take the north exit and go straight. The staff were very friendly and did their best to help with my lack of Japanese. This is a "business hotel" so limited room size but comfortable and has the basics. Wifi has now been installed (I think that's quite recent given the other reviews I've read) and was much better than the wifi in some hotels I've paid three times the price for. Very clean and close to many shops and restaurants.

There wasn't one thing I enjoyed about this hotel. We had chosen it for the location, as my friend lived near it. Upon checking in, we were told that a foreigner (my husband) needs to show his passport in order to stay at the hotel, and this was an absolute requirement. This requirement hadn't been discussed anywhere on the hotel booking site or the confirmation e-mail. Well, I have a JP passport with no Japanese domicile, but they didn't care about my passport. Their free breakfast sucked. Their beds are extremely hard (we prefer firm mattresses, but these were PRETTY HARD!) I mean, this hotel isn't hideous, but I believe there are other hotels that are way better, for additional 10 bucks.

We purchased a air and hotel package using Expedia. We got a good price on the closest location to my daughter's home in Imajukucho. The hotel is in a downtown location with lots of stores and resturantes. We were surprised to see all of the computers in the hotel and to see the rooms also had one. I think this is a 'gamers' favorite place to stay. I would not recommend children stay here as there are no facilities to speak of. The front desk staff were very difficult to communicate with. There was an area for free beverages which was nice.

Loved this place. Very quiet compound perhaps due to the fact that we were there on a Monday. It felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. There were some filming going on the next morning but you can really tell guests were their priority from the way they gave way to us and all. The filming crew doing preparation and rehearsals even left the church compound cos we were exploring and wanted to take some photos. Single room was spacious and clean, though they seemed to have revamped the bathrooms in some rooms and not the others. the bathroom in my friend's room seemed older, but still clean. beautiful view of Mt Fuji and the sunset from the church. it's a pity there laundry was not the usual coin laundry like other hotels as I had expected. Vending machines was available at the hotel. Staff was friendly. Would return again just to enjoy the ambience and serenity.

The room was tiny, the staff knew very little English. Breakfast had Japanese only food. It was ok for one night short stop over. nothing special, but cheap. We had two separate room one for us and one for our daughter. Parking around is very expensive even after a discount from the hotel

Located just 5 minutes from Hiratsuka station, this quiet small hotel is very different from the business hotels found around. Rooms are spacious, especially the Deluxe ones, with very large bathrooms. Each room as vinyl disks you can enjoy listening to - a very unusual feature! Multiple amenities are available in from of the elevator on each floor, and corridors are filled with books you can borrow and read in your room. Nice staff and free light breakfast. Recommended.
