I stayed here last night with my mother and aunt. We had a first floor, handicap accessible room. It was very spacious, a/c worked great, beds were comfortable, WiFi worked great, and the shower had good water pressure. There were plenty of choices on the hot breakfast buffet (the cinnamon rolls were really good). There were a couple of things that kept me rating this hotel 5 stars. The bathroom lighting was very dim. The mirror was supposed to have a light bar on either side of the mirror, only one worked. The other thing that kept it from a higher rating was we were given no soap at all! Do hotels not provide the little soap bars anymore?

We provide all the comforts of home with a special rustic Texas charm best described as affordable luxury. Expect a vacation where you can enjoy the sunset from the back porch of your guest room or spend your day horseback riding, shooting clays, throwing tomahawks, taking a ranch tour, or taking advantage of infinity edge pool. Our steakhouse serves up Texas-sized hand-cut steaks, great ribs, and many local favorites. This is the ideal choice for couples in search of a romantic getaway or families seeking new adventures.
We enjoyed a three night stay, in a cabin with a view across the stables & wider landscape. It was beautiful. The weather helped as it was hot, so late nights in the porch rocker looking out across the Wildcatter acres in moonlight…stunning. The staff were all pleasant, especially the guys down at the stable (Clint & John deserve recognition - John was terrific during our ride out; friendly, knowledgable and just the right amount of cowboy). The on-site Steakhouse good (see my separate review on TA). This should really be a five star review, but…there’s a lack of attention to detail - housekeeping is ‘just’ enough not to be classed as dirty; we had threadbare towels, which required a call to reception daily to get changed (even though a card in the cabin suggested the room would be serviced daily); the pool area only had five sun loungers, but multiple patio chairs, no pool towels (we were expected to use our room towels), and dirty cushions, all surrounded by an overgrown and unkept lawn/garden; the staff are scruffy, no uniform; the breakfast buffet (adequate) is served with paper plates and plastic cutlery; the activities are varied but expensive and include mandatory 20% gratuity, which is uncalled for as I think most guests would tip automatically. There’s much to praise at Wildcatter but also much to highlight for improvement. I can’t comment on the hotel rooms, but the cabins are certainly due refurbing & decent housekeeping.

The hallway smelled of smoke and trash because the trash was piled in the halls, the elevator kept breaking and we where on the 3 floor with a toddler. Our sheets where dirty and didn’t have enough towels. When we went to the front desk we where told there wasn’t enough linens to go around!

Worst room ever. Especially if you have babies. I seriously stayed in the room for 15 mins cause I found 3 fleas and a tick on the bed. I laid my baby down to change his diaper and an ant got on his head. I now am driving 40 mins away cause there were no rooms available any where else. I'd rather sleep in my car than to sleep there.

Stayed one night at this rat trap of a hotel. I have stayed in some low end hotels before but this place was the worst of all! First thing I noticed was the blood stain pillows then the hair all over the sheets. It appeared as if the room had not been cleaned in a very long time. Lots of dirt on the floors, garbage behind the bed, condem wrappers under the night stand and the smell. The smell was horrible, went next door to Walmart to get some frabreeze. Thankfully had my sleeping bag. Bottom line stay away from this place, it should be condemned!
