The wooden building of Willow Springs Way Station with its “western-style” decorated rooms, is an intimate, warm B & B. Embedded in the triangle Houffalize (7 kms) – Vielsalm (17 kms) – Grand-Duchy of Luxemburg (17 kms), Willow Springs is the ideal starting point for an exploration of the Hautes Ardennes. The B & B is located in the Deux Ourthes Natural Park and is at only a 20 kms drive from historically very important Bastogne or at 30 kms drive from picturesque La-Roche-en-Ardennes and its wildlife park. Conceived as a wooden dwelling, our B & B tries to copy as closely as possible the daily life in an American way station of 1860. The 5 rooms (all named in honor of historical ranches) at Willow Springs Way Station, however, are adapted to “modern times” with free WIFI, cable TV, extra long beds, clothing rack, table and a private bathroom with shower; two of the rooms can house 4 guests. In the “living room” underneath the bedrooms, we serve our daily (7/7) continental breakfast (included in the price). Just like in “real” way stations some 150 years ago, the “living room” also serves as “bar / restaurant” (except on Mondays and Tuesdays) where we serve our traditional, but “western flavored” meals (from sandwiches to satehs). The same room turns into a “lounge” every Thursday evening at 20 hrs, when the line dance course begins. Every second Saturday evening of the month, between 20hrs and 0.30 hrs, the living room turns into a “dance-hall”, when a C & W artist gives a live performance. Yours pets are more than welcome against a small compensation. Guests can also bring along their own horse; it can be housed in the on-site stables or meadows. Visitors can also opt for a guided tour with one of our horses or can chose to make a carriage or covered wagon ride. Moutainbikers and motorfreaks can safely leave their “iron horse” in one of our closed sheds under video surveillance. Willow Springs Way Station has a very spacious terrace, which allows us to organize on demand barbecues and cowboy games; the ideal stopping for families and groups.
We stayed here for two nights, based on the reasonable price and the dog-friendly policies. Our dog appreciated being treated like family - she got to walk around off leash, and met two new doggie friends. The rooms were spacious and clean, but basic - you need to bring your own necessities such as soap, shampoo, hair dryer. The continental breakfast was filling, and fresh - breads, meats and yoghurt. For an additional fee, a cooked breakfast is provided - it was ample and yummy! Their Saturday night BBQ hit the spot. Although clearly part of the unique selling point of the way station way of life, when the hotel is at full occupancy it is a bit noisy - you can hear the people in the next room talk, shower, blow their nose, etc. The best parts of the hotel are the hosts - they clearly love what they do, and the entire family was very personable. Thank you for having us, and for making us feel welcomed.

We had a great stay. Everything in the area was pretty much closed down after the flooding, but the owners got us seats for dinner at a nearby B&B. Very nice, hospitable people? We would like to return❤

B&B is situated on a very busy road. Delivery to premises/shop below in the early hours of the morning. Saturday night karaoke in restaurant below going on till 4.30am ! The room is clean but basic. No toiletries, no tea making facilities and no TV in the room. Also, returned after being out all day to the room smelling very badly. Someone had used the ensuite toilet and did not flush ....it was really bad. Finally, I had advised the b&b that I would arrive late and received confirmation to say that was not a problem. However, when I arrived I could not get in, door locked and had to stay in car till someone turned up in the morning ! No plan to return.
