The Ibis Falaise Coeur de Normandie hotel is located in a pleasant green setting. Just 3 km away is the medieval casle where William the Conqueror was born, crowned king of England in 1066. 35 km from the Caen Convention Centre and Pin Stud Farm, the hotel has 53 rooms and 2 meeting rooms for organising seminars and conferences. It has a restaurant, a bar open 24/24, and private outdoor parking. Wifi Internet access for guests on a business trip.
Good all-round and dependable service. Only two comments, the carpets in the corridors are stained. Main concern, purely personal is my dislike of tattoos, I find them offensive, especially on those serving the public. When I lived and worked in Australia, there was a dress code of NO VISIBLE TATTOOS IN THE OFFICE. There are staff at this hotels showing off their tattoos, their presence puts me off my food. Please adopt an Australian dress code, and keep them covered up.

Stayed in the Rotonde room and loved it. We also booked to stay again on our return trip so that’s how much we liked it. Lovely property and decoration right in the town so very easy to get to all the bars shops and restaurants- plenty of dining options and the host is happy to help you and recommend -

Domaine de la Tour is a magnificent 18th century farmhouse, situated in peaceful countryside close to the town of Falaise, Lower Normandy.Domaine de la Tour is situated 1km off the main road, surrounded by 500 hectares of forest and agricultural land and only a 5 minutes drive from the motorway A88.The nearest town is Falaise, at 3km where you will find supermarkets, a variety of shops, restaurants, banks, bakeries, an aquatic centre, a weekly market on Saturday morning and the chateau of William the Conqueror.
I had wanted to visit Falaise because of its’ WW 2 history, only to find the museum closed for the Winter 2 days before our planned visit! (Closes 3/11).Arrived around 4:30 to find the host was not present. Young lady in charge invited us in to the house to wait. Host Mark arrived about 10 minutes later, he had been on the school run. Mark spoke very good English (he is Dutch). He recommended a number of restaurants to us. We were shown to a comfortable, large room. The decoration looked like it needed a bit of a refresh. Nice, large bed which was in fact 2 singles, close together but with a gap between the two. Breakfast was fine, but we were surprised that no yoghurt or dairy produce was available, as this area is renowned for it. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

Fabulous place to stay. Was there last week after a trip to.Normandy. We arrived without a reservation and do not speak French but we're made to feel very welcome. The rooms and public areas are in a converted stable. The old stall doors and troughs are still there! Very unique. Rooms are decorated with high end fixtures and linens. Parking is free in inside locked gates. We were able to walk a short distance into town for dinner. A gem! Price for the night was very reasonable.

A very authentic retreat in an idyllic property. The owners Anne Veronique and Olivier were very nice and ensured that we had everything we needed. We could see how genuine these people are.The breakfast was served at our room and it was delicious including fresh products. I highly recommend to stay in this property.

We were on our way to get the Caen night ferry. The restaurant gave excellent service with wonderful food at a very good price. The main course was just over €10. Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking immediately outside the hotel. Did not stay at hotel, visited for dinner only.
