There is a terrible smell in the rooms. I was forced to change rooms several times because I couldn't sleep in them. The hygiene in the restaurant is terrible, no kovid measures, dirty tablecloths and glasses with lip prints. The electrical outlets in the room were broken, it was still a family hotel and children were walking around them. I note that I complained several times at the reception about the things described above and there was no reaction from the hotel staff. The only positive thing was the children's animation.

Spacious rooms, well-kept green areas, nice beach, BUT monotonous and low quality food, poor hygiene in the restaurant and lobby bar, where unoccupied tables stand for hours. We were denied a visit to the Italian restaurant, although we paid for this option as well. Definitely does not match 5 stars.

The village is placed on a hill, ~4 stories climb from its restaurant and overall 10-12 minutes to the beach or to Marina hotel. If you stop at the restaurant on the way to/from the beach, its quite an enjoyable walk through the forest and then well kept gardens or near the water park. However, the climb is difficult if you're elderly or out of shape. There is a golf-car delivery service to help with luggage on check-in and check-out. The good: - nice sandy beach with plenty of sunbeds - smooth entry in the water with gradual depth increase, great for children. - crystal-clear water in the mornings - outdoor theater with shows, some good (improv men vs women or comedy night) others not so much (dancing shows) - well kept gardens and forest area. you can avoid seeing any cars during your stay there, there is a tunnel under the main road to avoid crossing it and the parking lot is also rather isolated. - waterpark included in price is nice for (small) children - rooms were adequately large size and very quiet - enough bars and food/snacks to never get hungry or thirsty - huge resort, enough to keep you busy for 1 week - decent coffee at bars - parking is included (no fee) but you're kind of expected to tip the golf-car delivery guys :) - nice bathroom water pressure The tolerable (not to say bad, kind of expected due to good price): - beer and cocktails are quite watered down, as most ~3-4 star Bulgarian hotels offer. There are premium drinks for sale at the bars, but only vs cash (no card) and the selection is not great (local wine, no real beer except for the mini-markets). Beer is ok if you enjoy just the taste of beer, but not the buzz. - food is bland and overall a bit disappointing. there is great variety, but none of it is adequately seasoned/spiced. Also don't expect anything fancy, but you can still have a decent meal with a grilled pork/trout/chicken/kebab or some local tasting stews, besides salads/ appetizers/deserts/fruit. - rooms furniture and rugs were old fashioned and just old. I hear that Marina hotel is nicer and Royal probably even better. - the hill - the crowds. its a really big complex with probably 4k guests in high season, so the main restaurant is very very crowded. it is outdoors mostly but still there is no mask or gloves rule being enforced near the food area. also expect to wait in line or wait for refills for the popular dishes

We spent 11 nights at the pelican hotel at the end of August, there was no problem with getting a sunbed at any point during our holiday, arrive early or late and there is always a bed to be had.. Towel stations are at each pool so you can drop them in and walk to the next pool and get a clean towel, the stations do close over lunchtime but we alwaus exchanged out towels just before closure. The pelican hotel is the furthest from the beach and waterslides so providing you dont mind a short walk then it is out of the way and very quiet, the kids club is at this hotel. Duni resorts has 4 hotels within its grounds and other than the 5* hotel you can eat and drink at any of them, just have your wrist band on show and they serve you with a smile. drinks are all nice and being able to use all inclusive at all hotels is a great touch. the evening entertainment is amazing, best we have every seen in 20years of holidaying, they are a little funny with you taking photos and videos so be prepared for a tap on the shoulder if they dont want you taking any pictures. they were always polite but they like to keep there acts secret so dont want them on social media. Food was very enjoyable, we had no complaints.chips available each lunch time and evening, god send when you have 2 fussy eaters! there is the regular foods at all meal times but nothing unusual to an all inclusive resort. the garlic bread was unbelievable great for large groups as you have so much to explore and so many pools to enjoy. the water asort course for kids is good fun and only a few lev. you dont need to spend anymore money then what you paid for the holiday as so much to see and do within the hotels, watersports are an extra cost but its your choice to pay for this. the hotel has photographers going round taking photos and you get a discount for the more you buy so worth saving them over a few days and then buying them all together, i think they had 1 week at a time available. we had a great holiday and will definitely return, but, we would prefer the beach hotel as it is a little nicer, more modern and location was more to our liking. the pelican is a nice hotel but its at the back and a considerable walk (which we enjoyed) but the room was run down and the beds hard.. you will have a great time if you go to the village

Nice location. You find all you need in this complex. The food is good, the beach is very nice, the water is clear, the room is ok, but the furniture is old... There is an aquapark for adults and one for kids. The location is very good!

Well, this is old building designed for a children's camp in the summer. My room was with 3 beds, I do not know on the other floors. There is hall, divided into a smaller and larger part. About room if you want luxury , this is not the place.Room is clean, but nothing special 3 beds, 2 wardrobes, small fridge, table and chair. Bathroom is small and be careful you can you can flood the room because it does no threshold at the door. Some of my friend had problems with hot water. Food was good, almost the same for every breakfast, 2-3 salad, soups , vegetarian and meat meals, fresh fruit or sweets for lunch and dinner. Very good and strong wi-fi.Staff is friendly. If you are not so pretentious it is a good place/price for stay at the summer. It is near the road and you can cet there except by car even with the bus from Burgas-the stop is just opposite the courtyard entrance.
