The Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Ft. Lauderdale Airport West was extensively remodeled in July 2011. We are conveniently located to all major local highways including I-595, I-95, I-75 and the Florida Turnpike and close to the Ft. Lauderdale /Hollywood Int'l Airport, Port Everglades Cruise Port and the Davie campuses of Nova Southeastern University, Broward Community College, Florida International University and Florida Atlantic University. We offer free shuttle to the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and for a nominal fee drop off transportation to the Port Everglades cruise terminal. Adding to the many guest amenities & services to assure your stay is comfortable & pleasant is a new exercise room, business center, and brand new outdoor pool and patio area. This all-suite hotel provides spacious guest rooms with sitting areas, sofa sleepers, mini-refrigerators, microwaves, wet bar sinks, coffee makers and 32in flat-panel HDTVs. A lot to be desired
Reviewed By evelyn sWhat you see online and what is reality are two different things. The hotel is under renovation but they do not mention this on their website. As a result the place is dusty and noisy. The construction workers are using the same elevator that the guests uses. There are boxes and materials all over the parking lot so there are limited parking spaces for guests. The front desk person who could also be the owner is the most unfriendly person to be the representative for the hotel. He acted like he was doing us a favor by letting us stay there. We waited a long time for our room to be ready and not once did he check or offer us a place where to sit or store our luggage. Don't stay here.

Graduation Stop in Miami for the week
Reviewed By Departure03827871035Visited for my daughter graduation and I wasn’t disappointed hotel wasn’t the newest but at least it was clean and provided us a good bed to sleep. Breakfast needs some upgrades but it was better than nothing other than that it was close to nova to attend our graduation .

Least Expensive in Ft Lauderdale.
Reviewed By fanterifficoIve been here 2 weeks now out of a month, The rooms are just as advertised and its very safe. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. Stop by Walmart first and buy paper plates and plastic cutlery or you can purchase a cooking package at the front desk along with plates and cups. I feel its better than the airbnbs because you are not hit with all those extra fees. I would recommend a stay here and will return again.

Unauthorized room charges, horrible customer service
Reviewed By PettayfamHorrible customer service. Our room was charged for extras from the hotel shop. We told them we didn’t make those purchases and they said it was really easy for someone to use our room number for this. Also stated that sometimes they accidentally charge the wrong room. They refused to remove the charges and were so unbelievably rude about it. They accused my coworker of lying to me about the charges after stating that they sometimes accidentally charge the wrong room. Brittney at the front desk even threatened to call the police and have us escorted off the premises for trespassing even though we still had our reservation for another night. We travel for work and stay in hotels continuously. It’s a shame to be treated like this when you spend a lot of money with IHG. They said they’d check the cameras to see if they could prove we didn’t make the purchases. Brittney first said the cameras were checked and they did not see us make the purchases but they couldn’t remove the charges…she then said they still had to check the cameras. People are lying and no one wants to fix the issue.

Reviewed By S4854XGheatherbGreat location!!! Close to so many beaches , all the major highways and only around 15 minutes from the Ft. Lauderdale Airport. Nice pool and our unit was only a few steps away from it. Shaded cabanas with outdoor couches along with lounge chairs in the sun. There was also front and back patios, along with a balcony on second floor. Would definiltey recommend to others and will stay again
