After 2 false starts due to covid we finally arrived...and it was worth the wait!. Our hazards view cabin had amazing views. Although it is separate from the main area it was spacious and clean with the bonus of a sitting area. Large deck and little extras like yoga mat, hammock ,binoculors , wine were nice touches.Massive bathroom with heater and heated towel rail.. Staff at reception were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble..Continental breakfast was excellent. The remoteness and the views are the jewels of this resort.Highly recommend.....and the road in wasnt that bad!!

Great location and facilities which were perfect for a short stay on our East coast road trip. Toilet/shower blocks were clean and well maintained. As we visited in May it wasn’t busy but can imagine it’s a great place to stay, right opposite the beach, in the sunshine.

This is one of my most memorable and favorite hotels in the world. Its my second visit to Edge of the Bay, so glad I returned. Rooms have a commanding and endless view of Coles Bay, you see for miles around and all natural, its incredible to be this remote in this nice of a hotel. Yes, wallabies walk around outside your room maybe 1 meter away. Room is very large, fast internet and nice sliding doors to enjoy your large patio looking out over the bay. I opened the slider in the morning to listen to the pounding surf. Walk 50 meters to the shoreline and enjoy the rocks, the colors and the views. If you want to get away from it all, I cannot imagine a better get away from it experience. Enjoyed dinner two nites at the restaurant Lure on the property. Wonderful dinners, wines and great service both dinners. Lamb was perfect and the venison so flavorful. Great setting and wonderful dinners. Memorable, simply memorable.

Incredible and very generous hosts - with the most delicious and broad range of breakfast offers (the banana and walnut muffins are to die for, fresh orange juice, Tassie blueberries and the individual yogurts were great and tasty). Great comfortable king bed and whisper quiet location. Spotlessly clean. Great range of Sukin hand creams, moisturizer and even a make up remover! Fluffy towels. Just wonderful. Jen is such a warm and welcoming host - generous with her time and local information. Awesome to have a personalised beer tasting with host Mark who brews his own and supplies all the local restaurants and pubs - Belgian Golden Ale, California Steam Beer, Hazy Bayz and Creamy Irish Ale - my husband loved all with his particular favourite the Belgian Golden Ale. Very generous of the hosts - loved it. And definitely a mention to Jenna for her warm welcome (and she does love a tummy rub).

Your own private island for rent in Tasmania.
We spent three days on Picnic Island before returning home from our Tasmanian holiday. The weather wasn't ideal, initially, but the experience was exceptional. We had the entire island to ourselves and everything you could;d want was provided. We travel in a large family and friend group regularly and it was so nice to have enough plates, cutlery and pots and pans to suit our needs. Watching the treacherous waters surround us was quite a treat, knowing we were safe and sound inside with our wonderful fire. The weather let up towards the end of our stay and we were glad to see the blue skies rolling in. The private penguin parade at night was a special treat, an experience you can't get anywhere else in the world. Would highly recommend to families or groups of friends. A superb end to our Tassie trip and one we won't forget in a hurry!
