An after work meal with five colleagues and a little person! Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food ordered was reasonably priced, good quality and tasty pub grub - I can recommend the lasagne. Our server (Jamie I think) was great and made sure that we had everything we wanted and kept our little person supplied with colouring sheets and crayons. Chrissie who took our payment was lovely too and told us about the future plans for the Dartbridge - the decor might change but the staff are just fine the way they are!

We are a traditional pub and b&b. We are situated in the very centre of beautiful Buckfastleigh, with easy access to the A38, the coast, and Dartmoor. We are dog friendly in our public bar but not in our rooms. Our rooms are furnished with duck feather and down luxury duvets & pillows, memory foam mattresses and fluffy white towels. We are open to the public for food and refreshments everyday, please check with staff for seasonal variances. You can dine in our public bar or in our comfortable dining room by one of our roaring open fires. In the summer months we have a sun-trap courtyard garden for you to enjoy! We very much look forward to welcoming you to The Globe Inn
Great old pub in a lovely village very near the very popular SDR heritage railway line to Totnes. Good real including the famous Jail Ale from Dartmoor brewery and lovely pub grub at fair prices. Well worth a visit with Buckland Abbey very near. As most Glaswegian know the home of Buckie, the famous wine from the monitory.

We had quite a day hiking in Dartmoor and when we arrived at the Tradesman's Arms the sun came out and the pints were waiting. Kevin and Suzanne are the most amazing hosts. The 'escaped to the country' from London a few years ago and have poured their hearts into the Tradesman's Arms. Our room and bathroom were recently renovated during quarantine and were beautiful. The views were breathtaking - even from the shower (which was hot and powerful). Every modern amenity you could ask for in the most beautiful, idyllic, countryside setting. Kevin even gave us a lift to town the next morning when we mentioned we needed a pharmacy. Delicious dinner and fantastic breakfast in a lovely dining room with 180 degree views. We can't wait to return one day.

Absolutely moritified that we made booking here for our hairdresser for my daughter’s wedding plus recommended to guests. Hairdresser arrived late after long day at salon in London and was not allowed in. When another guest came down to let her in and got accidentally locked out with her, they were told that they were on CCTV so had better clear off. Eventually got in but hairdresser was not allowed key to booked and paid for room. She had to sleep on floor of other guest’s room. Wasn’t allowed access to her room to shower etc in the morning. Both she and the guest who helped her are Black. “Don’t use the race card” was used in the morning when this was raise as an issue. So ashamed. Our hairdresser and guest were too concerned for bride’s happiness to mention this until after wedding weekend. I hope they sue. I’d be happy to hear if I have misunderstood and there was another reason for telling guests that they were not welcome. Otherwise, if you are anti-racist, you may want to go elsewhere.

Small family run country hotel in a convenient location on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park. Recently under new ownership and fully renovated, Furzeleigh Mill Hotel retains all the charm and character of the 16th Century former mill building. In between the ancient towns of Buckfastleigh and Ashburton and a stones throw from the historic Buckfast Abbey staying at Furzeleigh Mill provides you with a good base to tour South Devon, the South Hams and Dartmoor itself. The hotel has 10 ensuite rooms, a very well stocked bar and a restaurant situated in the former mill room which serves great food from a regularly updated, seasonal menu. The south facing garden and new terrace has lovely views up the valley and is perfect for enjoying a meal or cocktail in the sunshine. There is also parking on site.
We had an evening meal about six weeks ago with family and Breakfast this week with my son and his wife. On both occasions thoroughly enjoyable. The evening meal was absolutely lovely Lamb Shank in my case and a few others in the group had the same was to die for. A very generous size this is not a place where you go home and need a sandwich. Breakfast also very good sat in the beautiful garden in the sun. The staff here make you feel very welcome and are very attentive.

Had a wonderful time at NorthGate, the grounds and rooms are immaculate. Lovely and peaceful and the staff are great. The breakfast and evening meals are superb, the only niggle I had was the lack of a comfy chair in my room, but thats my fault as I have arthrites, I dare say the staff would have replaced it if I had asked. Would most definitely stay again. A big thank you team
