The treatment we received and how it felt being at this hotel was just bizarre. It’s hard to explain. It’s such a beautiful hotel, but we felt very ‘out of place’, like we were unwelcome guests crashing someone’s wedding. As it turns out, this hotel has an attached wedding facility (which has it’s own separate pool, banquet hall and private beach area), as well as a ‘beach club’ for public/paid day use. So the hotel has a constant stream of people coming to the beach club from outside the hotel, or people who rent out the restaurant for parties. This hotel seems like it’s more of an ‘events centre’ for locals, where groups rent out the space for weddings and special dinners, and for ‘beach day use’, than it is a proper hotel meant to cater to their guests. I think the former is their main revenue stream, as this is where they focus their attention and good manners. Hotel guests come second, or third of forth. The website lists all the languages spoken at this hotel, but only one or two people were able to communicate with us in English. Most of the staff did not speak English and seemed put off or annoyed when we tried to speak broken Italian to communicate with them. The bill we were given at check out was in Italian, so we were not able to verify what was charged to our room. Only after we checked out of the hotel (early in the morning to catch our flight back home) did I notice (through google translate) that we were charged for ‘beach chairs’, “spiaggia noleggio giornaliero”, that we did not use, an additional 70 euros per day! We were told the pool was free to use, but apparently, we were still charged 70 euros per day. I can only assume this is because we ‘checked out’ the towels by the pool (they ask for your room card to use the towels). When I contacted hotels.com to help me (through the app chat) they got on the phone with the hotel and tried to talk to them about it, but then they hung up on her! She told me I would have to deal with the hotel myself. I emailed the hotel, and not surprisingly, I have not heard back from them. I’ve never heard of being charged such a ridiculous amount of money to use the hotel pool towels. If you look at the other reviews on this website, you'll see that the hotel only responds to people who have left good comments, not complaints. That is a sign of how they will deal with you if you have any issues there, they will completely ignore you and your concerns. There are two restaurants on site, however, we were not allowed to use the Mamita restaurant (inside). I booked a reservation for the restaurant with someone at the front desk, but I got a call later on to notify me that my reservation was moved to the beach club - again (which is outside), with no explanation. I can’t help but assume it was because we did not speak Italian, as there were other Italian speaking people in the Mamita restaurant as we walked through it to get to the beach club. Instead, we were seated next to a children’s birthday party, where we had to listen to them yell and scream and have mini meltdowns while the hired entertainers tried to get them to eat their food. Even their own parents didn’t sit with them. This is how they treat their hotel guests. Another issue that came up with making a reservation was with the jacuzzi in our spa suite room. We booked it for 9pm, to use after dinner, but when we returned at 9:20pm, most of the water had already drained out. The jacuzzi is controlled by the front desk, so I had to go downstairs to ask them to fill it up again. They must have forgotten about us after, because the jacuzzi was left on and not properly drained after the timed use, and it woke us up at 1:30am, the day before we had to leave for Rome at 7am for our flight back home. The jets are very loud and woke everybody up and when I tried to call the front desk to get them to turn it off, the person did not understand what I was saying. I had to take pictures of our room and the jacuzzi and walk all the way down to front desk in the middle of the night on the other side of the hotel to explain that we wanted him to turn it off so we could get back to sleep. After a while he finally understood, and just nodded his head and said “off”. No apology offered. I don’t want to assume the worst, but I can’t help but wonder if waking us up in the middle of the night before our early morning flight was deliberate. As a result, we had very little sleep to prepare us for the long day of travel ahead (a long overseas flight). If you do not have a car, this place is difficult to get to. We were coming from Positano and had to hire a private driver to take us here and another one to take us to the airport. Our driver from Positano was very friendly and professional and was actually concerned for us as he pulled up the hotel. He gave us his personal number to call him if we needed help - I guess he saw it coming. I wish we knew sooner, I would have told him to keep driving! The driver the hotel ordered for us did not introduce himself or speak one word to us, not even Ciao. He talked in Italian to other people on the phone all the way back to airport. And again, did not say one thing to us the entire time. I guess it was a fitting end to our stay at this hotel and summed up how we were treated our entire stay. There are so many nice hotels out there, with much better service. Your time in Italy is precious, don't waste it on this hotel. Looks aren't everything.

The Giulivo Hotel & Village in Baia Domizia is a resort perfect for a holiday of sea, relaxation and well-being in the beautiful Baia Domizia in Campania. We came here and the hotel is very nice, clean and new. The staff are really helpful and courteous from the bar staff to the reception staff. I pointed out some issue that i had with the villa that we rented, i probably would rent one of the new accommodation as the rest do need updating and were undergoing restoration. The staff went way and behind to rectify the issues. The entertainment was absolutely fantastic, some of the singers were amazing, the kids entertainer were good too. We ate dinner in the restaurant and from the service to the food i would say it was of a very high standards, presentation and service was a match to a Michelin star restaurant and the treatment that we personally received. We went at the end of season so everything was slowly closing for the season, apart from one of the bar closing and the kids entertainer that closed a few days after we arrived, i did not mind it not being mega busy it was quite nice and relaxing.

In front of you the sea. Through the verandah, just across the lawn and onto the beach in the gentle arc of the bay. You are in Hotel della Baia. You will be received with a warm, welcoming smile. This is not like a hotel, you will think. It is more like being a guest in a lovely private villa. Everything will be done to make your stay comfortable. For those who appreciate beauty, tucked away in a lost corner of Mediterranean countryside, a haven of peace surrounded by its splendid garden. Our hotel offers a rare balance of relaxed confort, exuberant surrondings and a style of service that is genuine desire to help. It has dignity in aboundance and as befits its original intent, a friendly intimacy exudes as if still a home from home. The expected requirements of a world-class hotel are taken as read, but all are interwonen with the honours of time and tradition.
I’ve been in this hotel with my girlfriend for three nights in the highest season. Still after one week I can’t find the words to describe the experience you can find in this jewel hotel. Quit your mind, your stress, you car, the kids, the anger and you will fall in the most pleasurable places in the world. As soon as you get in on the right you have a private rose garden with which they make homemade jams and ice cream, you continue i the path and you enter in the main hall which is not an hotel hall but is HOME, there is a piano, a fire place, paintings and libraries full of books, two floors of books. Than the garden at the sunset, the pool and a private beach with your own space. Restaurant is a kind of experience. So elegant, so classy, for the highest tastes. Just fresh food and fruits with the passion of owners, maître and chef to let you feel one of the beautiful moments of the day. Prices? The best money ever spent.

I don't recommend this hotel to anyone, because the breakfast is poor, the cooks smoke inside the kitchen and the restaurant, there are ants in the food, there is a terrible smell from the kitchen, the food is all frozen and the employees use saliva to clean the materials that they give to the customers, and even the works of the works and the like enter the restaurant and the kitchen.

Just stayed at the holiday village and very disappointed. Pool side was awful u. No linos, balls etc allowed into the pool. The entertainment at night was in Italian and only 2 people spoke English at reception. Music played until 1am every night. Accommodation was supposed to be cleaned after 1 week. We stayed 11 days and the rooms were cleaned on the 10th day. Staff on site were also unfriendly. Only plus side was that there was a beach beside the resort which made up for the lack of entertainment at the pool, however you had to pay £17 a day for hire of 2 beds and an unmbrella. Definitely not Al Fresco holiday standards.
