The most striking feature is the Fortaleza de San Fernando de Omoa, an 18th-century Spanish fort. The Fort of San Fernando de Omoa, was built between 1756-1775. A small town filled with great history and culture. You will enjoy the local gastronomy, their specialty is seafood, but you can find many flavors as well. The rest of the afternoon, you can decide to spend it at the beach or visiting a natural reserve nearby. A day full of fun.

Not sure this is always the case, but this island is way over crowded with cruise passengers most of the time. Lots of road construction everywhere. The stop at Daniel Johnson's Monkey & Sloth Hang Out was way underwhelming. The place is very small, not much more than a couple of backyard cages. It was hot, no way to buy a drink and not well planned by the tour operator. In my opinion, any tour of this location that involves being driven several miles is not a good idea at this time.

Went on a tour of the Roatan reef with the Glassboat tour, simply fantastic ! Great way to discover the reef’s amazing treasures, saw so many species of fish and even divers. A great excursion for the whole family, this is so amazing and made us feel like part of the ocean.
