Arrive mid morning and you can spend a whole day there - time very well spent and you won;t be disappointed. It's a one-stop-shop of culture and heritage.

Nice station, lots of staff to help out. Easy enough to catch the London underground system from here, but sometimes the information desk runs out of tube maps so try to download one on your smartphone ahead of time. There is no public wifi unless you go to the one of the restaurants in the station.
