We had never seen a scrub jay "in person" until we visited this vegetation rich preserve where we saw many of these blue birds. They seemed to magically appear, and as we watched them - they watched us. Some even swooped down & landed on our head! We learned that Florida scrub jays are found only in Florida scrubland and have been in Florida for at least two million years. Cruickshank Sanctuary is certainly worth a visit. We plan to return again!

This trail is AWESOME! Nice and quiet with winding trails through the mangroves and natural Florida woods. Plenty of native plants, flowers and trees as well as a wide variety of wildlife! Definitely going back again!

Welcome to Jurassic Park. Hidden away gem of a park. The walk is easy. Clean restrooms and plenty of parking. An easy drive and easy to get to. Get your steps in with 3-4 laps around the trail.

We have visited zoos all over the country and found the Brevard Zoo to be one of the most impressive!! It’s very well laid out, and delightful to experience the animals in natural settings. The zookeepers and volunteers were extremely friendly and helpful. Our 2 boys, ages 4&3, marveled at every turn and really enjoyed the opportunity to feed the giraffes and fish. Highly recommend!

Lots of facilities - soccer fields, walking trails, dog park, community center, tennis. Very large park. Neat & tidy. Well maintained. Nice place.
