Things to do in Brea
Service was exceptional! Everything was spotless (even the restroom). Prices were reasonable. Most importantly, the Acai Bowl was superb!! Worth every single cent I spent!I tried their Large Acai Bowl. This beauty was loaded with a blend of acai, guarana, bananas, and strawberries. Then topped off with organic agave, strawberries, bananas, and granola. For a dollar extra, they added a generous portion of almond butter. Oh my goodness, this creation was incredibly delicious! One of the best acai bowls ever!!!! Hard to believe that I was eating something healthy!! I ate it at their shop. There was a couple of areas to sit including a comfy looking couch, but it was already taken. I sat down at the counter by the window to enjoy my special treat. I liked it so much that I got one to go for my wife. She loved it also!Protein Lab in Brea will now be a destination for us whenever we are in the area (which is usually once a month). I highly recommend Protein Lab! They have my 5 star stamp of approval!!

They have pretty good acai bowls, but they are really pricey for what they are. Acai bowls start at $7.99 for a medium, but they average about $10 for a medium bowl (16 oz) and $12 for a large (32 oz). Not sure if I'll be back due to the pricing unless they have specials going on, but I would recommend them if money is no object.

I have been eating at Mothers for over 15 years. It was such a treat when they opened in Brea. I love eating in their restaurant. They have so many excellent vegetarian choices. My favorite meal is the tofu mushroom melt and a salad with the poppyseed dressing. If you have an opportunity to eat here don't pass it up.

Our group had a variety of items, plate, salad, and kids plates. The ordering process is cafeteria-like. Order your entree, add sides, add separate items like soups and desserts. The salads were tasty. Overall the food was fine but nothing exceptional. I would consider Urban Plates as high-end fast causal. The atmosphere is contemporary and pleasing.
