We always stop here when we come to Wisconsin Dells. It is a typical Wisconsin bar, with friendly employees, and the locals make you feel right at home. We went on a Monday evening, and one of their specials was .50 chicken wings. They were quite meaty and tasty. They run different daily specials, too, but I chose to order a good ole' hamburger and chili. Prices are reasonable, friendly and great service. And, they have free popcorn! :-) We will be back!

The Ponderosa Franchise seemed to be thriving at one time across the state of Wisconsin. We had one in our town for many years, and other nearby towns had a Ponderosa too. Food was good, prices were reasonable, and the facilities were clean â then they disappeared. I thought all of the Ponderosas went extinct, that they were forever gone, that is until I saw one near Wisconsin Dells. I drove past the building and wondered if I should go in, I thought, how good could it be? Well the fake horse in front of the building looked pretty cool so I parked the truck and walked in. There were three waitresses at the counter with smiles on their faces and I thought that was good. Next, I looked at the salad bar and it was huge â I had forgotten how great of a food selection there was at those buffets. Everything was so clean and fresh looking at that salad bar, so that settled it; I was going to eat there! The place looked pretty new, everything was clean and fresh looking. The music was so relaxing, it was easy listening, soft rock, crooners, and country â there was Clapton, Jackson, Crosby⦠Oh yeah, just a fresh wholesome atmosphere. That Ponderosa was the `Gold Standard of buffets. It brought back fond memories and I cant wait until my next visit there.

We decided to visit for lunch on Mother's day. The restaurant was not crowded at all. Our server was pleasant and attentive. For an appetizer we ordered the spinach dip which I recommend. It was wonderful. The portions were large and the food was great. The server even passed our flowers for Mother's Day. What a nice touch. We will visit again and book dinner next time we visit Great Wolf and Wisconsin Dells.

Very nice looking place and my server at the bar was courteous and friendly.The food was also nice looking but rather lacking in taste, unfortunately. Sort of a form over function problem. The ice tea was very good and my server was generous with it also.I wouldn't recommend a burger or sweet potato fries. And they neglected the California style burger, no mayo was on the side.

Had lunch here, attracted to both the train delivery of food & the Lego village. Staff were warm, friendly & attentive. Somewhat limited, basic menu. Food was good. Service was relatively quick.

We have been in town in the off season, so most restaurants have been nearly empty. If it is only the locals in town now, this is obviously a local favorite. Quick service, outstanding pizza, and the on site local soft drinks were a big hit.

Nice family friendly atmosphere. Attentive wait staff. My grandson spilled his lemonade twice the waitress cleaned it up right away and gave him a new one. This time we put the top on more securely!Food was good and well priced. Would definitely return.
