The Outer Banks of North Carolina is a 100-mile stretch of barrier islands dotted with pristine beaches, quaint towns and historic sites.
If you love swimming, kayaking, or surfing, be sure to visit the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. To really experience local culture, explore each coastal village and sample as much food as you can along the way. (Pro tip: Try the catch of the day.) If you’re looking for a history lesson, check out Roanoke Island or the Wright Brothers National Memorial. And of course, no day is complete without watching the sunset from Jockey’s Ridge.

Semi-private golf club in Kitty Hawk.
Full disclosure: I am a member here. However, one of the reasons I joined was the well kept golf course. There is always balls available on the range, the putting and chipping greens are near the 1st and 10th holes, and the personnel there are very professional. In addition to the golf course, there are plenty of Har-Tru tennis courts, a well equipped gym, conference room space, and a decent 'Bistro'/bar. There are plenty of options on whatever type of food you like.

Course was in great shape considering the amount of rain that just come through here. The staff was friendly and the pace was perfect.

This is a top notch putt putt course and can be very difficult. We had a great time on this course and playing against each other. It is difficult if you get in the rough but it makes it interesting. What a great time

What a golf track! Outstanding layout, professional staff, and an extremely gratifying experience. Make no mistake, the course is challenging, but it is also beautiful in every way, and makes one appreciate the important things in life. Keep up the great work folks!

Our teen daughter’s favorite putt putt place at North Myrtle Beach so she was excited to see one here at Kill Devil Hills. We arrived at a good time after dinner with maybe two families in front of us. Weather was perfect! This is a fun course with the “train ride” to the top. We recommend you go early because when we were leaving the line had grown to a crazy length all the way into the parking lot. The cashier & staff were all friendly.

A popular golf course in the Outer Banks region that was designed by Art Wall, the 1959 Masters champion.
Enjoyed our round of golf today, staff was friendly and we played 18 holes in about 4 1/2 hours. Course has recovered nicely from the 2018 turf issues that plagued the entire east coast. Greens are smooth and quick, bremuda fairways nice.
