Whenever we visit another play centre we always compare it to Boomerang as the gold standard. It really is a fab venue, particularly for babies and little ones. Where other centres can seem chaotic or overwhelming, Boomerang has got it just right for a really lovely time with your little tykes. We’ve been going since our eldest was a baby, now we are taking baby number two and it’s still a favourite outing. There is a lovely baby sensory room, a little room of instruments on the wall and a big room that older ones can go a bit more crazy in, with a great climbing frame and slide that’s just right for little ones - and parents to join in with. Cafe is excellent and great value for money. Love the bacon bagels and the chicken melts and there is a great lunch for kids. Always clean, staff are lovely and everyone is welcome. The only thing to remember is that it does get private bookings - so always call before you go to check which rooms are open. Great venue.

An outstanding collection of arcade history & modern imports, machines that honestly are older than I am in full working order and what's better, all on free play! The age of the machines is funnily "sold out" by their coin mechanisms, they might be on free play but seeing 10p credits is a total throwback to before even my time. You name it there's a fair chance they have it on the third floor which is all ages, it's a who's who of arcade history from Space Invaders & Galaxian to slightly more modern classics like Time Crisis & with it being free play it's also less galling when your timing isn't as good as it used to be! The second floor is more aimed towards the rhythm folks but genuinely wouldn't look out of place in Akihabara - in a figurative AND literal sense! This one's over 16's only and is a heaven of dance games, random obscure Japanese rhythm games & a bunch of top notch VR stations as well just to prove that it's not all an antiques roadshow! The table flipping game though is a personal favourite, I'd seen it on YouTube but now I know why it's a cult favourite, gotta check that one out for sure! Food & drink is catered for - I didn't have any snacks while I was there but something up on the second floor smelled great & the prices are honestly of the sort of value that makes you feel like you're robbing the place! They clearly have an ethos of send the customer home happy & it shows, not very often you'll see places like this have reasonable prices on food & drink! Value for money is outstanding, under £20 and you can access both floors from opening til chucking out time, compared with what I'd spend in an "a-la-carte" arcade that's daylight robbery on my part! The machines are generally well cared for and well maintained, have to remember that in some cases the machines are 30+ years old and I dare say used to oblivion even on a 4 day week! (seriously for the age of them they work a dream!) I know they're opening a new location in Leeds but well, if they're looking for a Scottish outreach I'd support that to the hills and back! Might have taken a couple of years to get down but having been, it won't be a couple of years until I get back!

Weve been here a few times and our 5 year old loves it! We normally get a family ticket ( 2adults and 2 children) for £16 that includes skate hire. But if you dont want to skate and children want to, there is options to spectate at £2 and a skate and food combi ticket for children at £8. The first time we went our lil one couldnt skate and was all arms and legs! Some older lads skated over to help him and give him pointers, hour later and hes off on his own ! There is rails around the rink to hold on to, marshalls to give pointers and help, lockers to use for £1 and you can open and close as many times as you want., huge rink. Food is good and value for money. Staff are always helpful. We co e every 2 weeks as our lil one has caughr the skating bug!
