In a quirky Dutch-ism, Amsterdam may be the official capital of the Netherlands, but it’s The Hague (Den Haag) where the government sits (along with several international courts, for which the city’s best known). Cosmopolitan and cultured, The Hague is Holland’s third-largest town, with just under 500,000 people. Conveniently, the beach resort of Scheveningen is part of The Hague, and en route lies the family-friendly Madurodam, a fascinating 1/25 miniature display of a fictitious Dutch city.

Real-Life Xcape in Den Haag is one of the best Room Escape Game providers in the Netherlands. It has three themes, which people needs to use their logical and critical thinking, as well as physical skills to escape from. Real-Life Xcape is one of the few escape rooms in the Netherlands that embeds high technologies into the games, which makes them more challenging and interesting.
Been here twice with the same group of friends. We did the scariest room and one where we had to be handcuffed (not spoiling, it’s on the pictures!). We all had a great time at both and the people working there are friendly.

Every week we are the only comedy club in The Hague on Thursday, Friday & Saturday for an evening-filling program with hilarious stand-up comedians. ComedyCity also programs top names from the international comedy scene. Naturally we also bring the best comedians from our own country. The evening can be combined with a dinner or drink. Check our website for the affiliated restaurants.

The new Jumanji movie on X-screen gave me the perfect view. Other than Jumanji there were plenty of good and new movies to watch.

There are a number of Pathé cinemas in The Hague but this once is really special. Located near the Parliament Buildings it is well located and near to a number of tram and and buses. It is also located to a number of restaurants - Mexican, Cuban, etc. The building itself is a period building so it has grand staircases, wooden railings and is multi level. If you are buying some food - most of the cinemas have prepackaged boxes for the kids - this cinema is different as the children can chose their own drink, sweet and fresh popcorn. My kids love this. They have parking packages if you are driving in so check the details online. Just a lovely experience in such a lovely property!
