Alexandria is a city and the county seat of Douglas County, Minnesota. First settled in 1858, it was named after brothers Alexander and William Kinkead from Maryland. The form of the name alludes to Alexandria, Egypt, a center of learning and civilization.

Country Blossom Farm is an apple orchard loaded with fun things to do all fall long. We have a 7 acre corn maze, corn pit, bouncy pillow, pedal cart track, bazooka ball, and more. The whole family will enjoy the trip. We are famous for our take and bake pies, and delicious savory hand pies for lunch. Our gift shop has something for everyone with a flaire for the country. We are open seasonally from mid-August through mid-November.
My husband and I were here last night for their flashlight corn maze event. When I suggested to my husband he just kinda looked at me...like yea right. Soooo much fun (even the husband)! It was great to see families out having some fun and laughing after a number of items being canceled this year because of COVID-19. The gift shop has some very nice items. The bakery items we tried were very good. The apple cookie, the raspberry white chocolate (our favorite) cookie and an apple bar.

So happy to be back at Carlos Creek! Had the Adventurous Dry Wines which was excellent! My two new favorites are the Viognier and the Triumph! Service was great! Bought a couple of their soft sweatshirts! Always fun to be here!

Like so many other roadside attractions across the country Big Ole makes a great photo op. After going through the Runestone museum walk across the street to Big Ole or A good reason to stop and get out of the car and stretch. Worth the stop to snap a few pics.

22 Northmen has been a great addition to the Carlos Creek Winery grounds. The brewery is spacious with a great atmosphere. I've had several different brews and have liked all of them. I've been here a handful of times for different events and have found the staff pleasant - you order at the bar, they don't wait on tables. Valkyrie Pizza is amazing. Would definitely recommend stopping in as you're going through the Alexandria area.
