Ashdown Forest

We have been exploring this stunning forest, it so to enter into the forest, you just pull up in designated parking places, and off you go, take a satnav location on your phone, and try to get lost you will see all kinds of animals and natural beauty everywhere you look. It has a good phone signal, so you can follow your directions back to starting point. And of you go again to different starting point. The small hamlets that you will see, will make you very jealous of the lucky people who live there, I'm not so sure it's as good in the hardiest of winters?. Have a look at the winnie the pooh shop, I think you can book a table for lunch, if you book ahead online. The forest has a feeling of serenity, that gives you a lift that lasts for the rest of your day. This place is a must, you should at least see it once in your lifetime.

Friston Forest

We parked in the main car park on Litlington Road. The map in the car park shows various routes for walking or cycling. We chose the white horse view route. The paths were good and signage was easy to follow. Lovely walk with nice viewpoints.

Pooh Corner

Built in 1703, Pooh Corner is a grade II listed building on the edge of the 100 Acre Wood (the Ashdown Forest) in Hartfield, East Sussex, just a short walk from where the Winnie the Pooh stories came to life! Famous for being the sweet shop where Christopher Robin and AA Milne used to frequent it is now a spiritual home for Winnie the Pooh fans worldwide. With a tea and coffee shop, gift shop and a Pooh-seum covering the last 95 years of Winnie the Pooh and it’s creators. It's a wonderful experience for the whole family!

My wife and I recently visited Pooh’s Corner on a day out to Ashdown Forest - we both loved it! We ordered coffees and cakes, and the cakes were AMAZING! I can’t recommend their bakewell cake enough! (They also serve tea in Winnie the Pooh themed pots, which is a nice touch!) There’s also an adorable little museum and gift shop that you can browse and explore after food! The staff are also doing an amazing job in light of the current climate. Advance booking, distanced seating, face masks and on top of all of this extra work - speedy service! My wife and I are already planning to return in the future with my in-laws next time they visit!

Beautiful woodland. Well maintained with loads of paths. In blue bell season it’s amazing. See if you can find the old tractor....

Great open space with well laid out paths and routes around the forest. Good parking although the car park fils up quickly at peak times and is quite expensive at £2.40 for two hours. There are toilets, a bit basic! Great for picnics, walking, geocaching etc.

Great for walking the dogs and going on a trek. There's a few solid tracks and quite a few beaten paths. Watch out for ticks
