We visited HLÃLLABÃTAR in Akureyri and didn't know it was a chain until we encountered another one in Selfoss. We tried the curry boat sub sandwich and it was loaded with filling, they definitely don't scrimp on the ingredients.Still pricey for fast food by North American standards. My partner and i shared a sub and continued snacking elsewhere.

We stopped for food at Hella and we found this little street van. We order our burgers and they were DELICIOUS! Fresh vegetables, meat that melts in mouth and great sauce. Price is very fair. Nothing to complain. The owner is really nice guy, we had some talk, he gived us some advice about traveling and weather. Thank you! For sure we see you again!

Donna and I really enjoyed eating here. Donna had the Fish of the Day, and she really enjoyed the potatoes and salad. I had a Fish Stew, that was very good. Highly recommend this place

Very friendly staff! They showed us the English menu because they clearly knew we didn't understand Icelandic. The place was small (6-7 tables) and our table wasn't wiped clean from the previous guests but the burgers and fries were delicious and they offered something I had never seen before in Europe...wait for it...free refills!

The burgers we ordered were good but a little disappointed with the surroundings. Few things that needs fixing and should not be to expensive or time consuming to do. For example the doorknob on the toilet. It would also be a big plus if they would recycle.

Supa serves delicious soups cooked every morning from fresh vegetables and beans. All soups are gluten free and very flavourful. We also offer sandwiches, salads, coffee, tea and baked goods. Fast service, rich flavours, healthy food and nice atmosphere.

If you've been driving the Golden Circle and need lunch or such, this is a great option. They have 4 different selections of soups/sandwiches for around $16US. And the Geysirs are just across the street.
