Find out what Fast Food restaurants to try in Messina. At Sicily’s northeast tip, Messina is the first city being kicked by mainland Italy’s boot, just three miles across the Strait of Messina. It's a main port of entry for visitors via hydrofoils and ferries. Trains board the ferry, too, before continuing service. The 12th-century Norman cathedral, rebuilt after a 1908 earthquake destroyed it and much of the town, is the most famous attraction.

The place is a bit greasy but the food was good. We had burgers and panini and both were very tasty. Don't use the toilet if you don't have to though.

Ok, maybe just a pearl but you must visit this little place. We were wandering around lost, asked the busy guy (owner?) for directions, he comes out hands me a map and proceeds to quickly show me (in Italian) where we were and says caio and goes back to work! With kindness of this sort I had to buy something! Its one of those places you would normally walk by. Cautious at first I noticed the vegetable guy was bringing in cases of fresh baby eggplant and fantastic fresh plum tomatoes and the prettiest zucchini. In here! Sure enough the girl says 6 euro's 1 plate full. Wow. behind the glass was a whole selection of freshly made antipasto. Stuffed eggplant, Swordfish in Tomatoes and olives, eggplant parmesan, fresh green beans, marinated pumpkin, etc,etc.. AT A LITTLE Pizza JOINT!! just around the corner from the Train station. WE LOVED IT. Unpretentious, simple traditional Sicilian food.

We have been there multiple times as we liked the food really much. The cook speaks English and is also very open for a 'customized' meal. Our little one loved the Casarecce Pomodoro. The burgers are also very good.

Our tour guide highly recommended this authentic small restaurant for the best aranchani in Messina. Aranchani is a specialty of crispy fried rice balls filled with a variety of delicious toppings. You can even get one with Nutella ! Enjoy 1 aranchani with a glass of house red wine for 2 people â¬6.70 - great deal in Sicily.

We ordered a pint of Harp & a glass of wine , after a long day wandering around Messina . The pub itself was typically Irish and the staff were really friendly . However itâs the cost of the drinks that let the score down . ⬠12, I found a bit steep for two drinks.

Craving a burger after 2 weeks of grand italian food. This place did not let me down. Although my local gym will see more of me when I get back.home cooked juicy at least 1/2 pound burgers, with the works. Also had some good jalapeño poppers, a couple tall cold beers each and an order of fries for 30 euro.
