This weekend was the first time my husband and I have eaten here in probably 5 years! But what difference to the quality we had then. Our bill was just short of £100 (admittedly a bottle of Prosecco included in this) weâve had some outstanding food for this amount of money a fair few times over the years, But Goodfellows unfortunately didnât deliver. We both eat the same. The starter consisted of some dry lamb mince which didnât taste of anything but lamb. On a CRAZY amount of VERY garlicky Houmous! It was so overpowering we could taste it for at least 24 hours afterwards. Not pleasant, and we didnât finish it. For our main we had scallops, for which they charge £25. Initially the price wasnât a problem, Iâll happily pay good money for good food. And the scallops were indeed cooked to perfection and were delicious. It came with the standard pairing of bacon, and a tiny amount of smooth potato purée (certainly not a filling amount) However, the rest of the plate was made up of, yet again, a crazy amount of very undercooked, tough fried leek!! This dramatically devalued the dish for me and was again completely unnecessary. Or at least shouldâve been cooked properly, so that they were sweet and soft as they should be. Weâre good honest people and believe that if you eat most of a meal, it should of course be paid for. But the food delivered on the night Iâm afraid to say, most defiantly did not deserve a tip or a raving review. And we wonât return. 3 stars for pleasant staff, and a lovely bottle of fizz shared with my husband.

Came here with friends for Sunday lunch and it was busier than we'd seen it before. This place is clearly gaining in popularity and quite rightly so.The menu has something for everyone. Well cooked dishes and the portions are a good size. Young waiting staff, but they do pretty well. It's become a firm favourite in Wells.

Visited as a treat for my Daughter who is Coeliac but weâre informed that they turn the Gluten free fryers off at 8:00pm. Clearly people suffering from this disease donât eat after 8pm. We apologise you missed out on your gluten free meal this time. We do our best to keep our customers informed about our fryer closing time. I hope you can understand the reason for our fryer closing an hour before the shop closes. We take the time everyday to filter and clean this fryer and area thoroughly as to maintain our high standard to anyone with the coeliacs disease. We do hope you can allow us the opportunity to provide you with a great gluten free meal in which we have many great reviews for. Once again we apologise for the let down.

This traditional tea rooms is situated opposite the famous Abbey and looks onto the bustling and unique centre of Glastonbury. The place is warm and friendly with a great selection on the menu. The menu ranges from freshly cooked breakfasts to light lunch
Visited on 24th September and cant reccomend highly enough! Both my husband and I had a toasted sandwich, pot of tea and cake. I had the coconut and lime cake, it was the best cake I've ever had in a cafe (and that's a big statement from someone who loves tea and cake!). Service was excellent and the interior was super cozy

We had less time in Glastonbury than we had hoped, so I checked Trip Advisor and booked with only a couple of hours' notice. The place was busy, has a good atmosphere, varied clientele, friendly and efficient service and a good drinks list. The food was plentiful and enjoyable. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the burger and I the entree-sized Meze board, which was too much as the main meal for me. It was filled to overflowing with delicious dips, spreads, veggies and bread.Despite this, I managed to fit in an Affogato, one of my favourite after-dinner options, which I only tried as I had never seen it offered with chocolate ice cream before.I enjoyed it very much and found the combination of chocolate ice cream and Frangelico delightful. The best meal we had on our first trip to Devon and Cornwall.
