The price on the steak was high. Wrong brought a huge slab of meat cooked rare and then a table side grill to the table so you could prepare it your way. The salad was large, plenty of French fries, this could be a.meal for two. I ate it all and ice cream.

Stopped for dinner at Cerveceria Capota and was impressed by the variety and quality of the tapas. Our server Katy was wonderful and attentive making sure we had wine and food. I strongly recommend the pulpo (octopus), the stuffed peppers with cod and the salmon stuffed with crab. We finished with both their standard cheesecake and the apple cake which had a cheesecake consistency. Both were very good but the group favorite was the standard cheesecake because of the caramel used top.

Cimey and Wanda, a very sweet and welcoming couple, opened this restaurant two months ago and it already gives a hommie feeling. it offers vegen and vegantrian dishs - something quite rare in this part of the country. the food was good and not pricey. highly recommended

We were staying on the Parador, and ate in the restaurant for 3 evenings during our 5 night stay. Each time the service was impeccable and friendly, and there is a good selection of local wines. The food was excellent value and well presented. I particularly enjoyed Fideua (a bit like paella but with noodles not rice) and the risotto as starters and the octopus main course was delicious. For me the only negatives are that it is a little lacking in atmosphere (although perfect if you want a nice quiet meal) and it doesn't open till 8:30 in the evening which is rather late for me, however by the end of our stay I had switched over to Spanish time!

The formal dining room was full so we got a table in the busy bar cum restaurant. Enjoyed excellent patatas bravas described as spicy and they were. Main courses of vegetarian pizza and campanola salad were both excellent. Tasty cheesecake too. A nice touch was the complimentary glass of Cava. In an area with a great emphasis on meat and fish dishes this was a welcome find. House wine â¬8.50.Buenos dÃas topxiMuchas gracias por tu comentario y esperamos que vuelvas pronto.Un saludo de La Strada.

In the heart of the old town and just behind the cathedral, this restaurant has a lovely interior and great service. The multi-lingual staff were very pleasant and helpful. The menu is varied and mouth-watering and the food did not disappoint. The beef was perfectly cooked and the two cod dishes were excellent. Stand out dish was suckling pig. Reasonable prices for fine dining. A great experience and highly recommended.

Old cellar of the 16th century. Building of stone and wood. Five rooms with different atmospheres. Covered terrace and outside. More than 1000 m2 garden. Children's games. Parking for more than 50 vehicles. Two underground Cellars or "calados". Creative a
This is one of the better restaurants in the Rioja wine region and has a reputation for that even though there is no particular reason to visit Casalareina among quite a few not particularly charming surrounding towns. Wine tourism is the main attractive but a few have from good to outstanding restaurants. La Vieja Bodega is well known for its traditional Riojan food and we enjoyed that. The tomatoes with olive oil and basil were flavorful but the menestra was a little overcooked. On the other hand, the pig trotters were prepared to perfection. The popular ham croquettes were very good but not among the best we have eaten elsewhere. The berries desert was good and light for an after meal and the wine list good with offers in half bottles which we enjoy if needing to drive afterwards. The Sierra Cantabria red was very good and the price adequate. The food prices are moderate and the service a little rough perhaps appropriate for a large lumbering , clean, place as its name indicates. Parking was free.
