New management so disregard previous reviews.I had the steak hache - very good. The outside patio is high enough to see the river. There are fans. There are newspapers. They give me the keyboard to put on what music I wanted on Youtube.Staff friendly and efficient. Prices reasonable.

Excellent German fare. Best salami I have ever tasted. Home made salami, brats, polish sausage, smoked hams, bacon and fish. Can buy by the kg for take away too. The small market has a nice selection of condiments, gherkins and alcoholic products. I eat here at least once a week as a wonderful break from non stop Isaan food! :)

Went in for a lunch. It was a pleasant surprise. The food was good, as well as the service. Everything here is new a fresh. Not much more to ask for.

For Thai and Western food, hot and cold drinks : Mai's Bar-Restaurant is happy to welcome you.Speak Thai, english and French !
Mai's Restaurant has a fairly extensive menu offering European and Thai food although their take on chicken âprimaveraâ - which I ordered - is little different to mine but tasty nonetheless. The bruschetta was fabulous. Real bread for the first time in six months! The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The prices were fine but considering I didn't eat anywhere else in Nong Khai , I don't know if the prices were expensive or cheap in relation to other placesDefinitely family-friendly a large group had dinner there and were comfortably seated. Finally, the staff speak Thai, Lao, English, and French. Possibly other languages, too. Will visit again. As I will be staying across the road.

Oasi, opposite the White Inn Hotel, is a small restaurant who offers nice Italian tasting food. Thin crust Pizza was good and the Lasagna was more than satisfying, so yes we left happy. Prices are very good so we can recommend this place without any regrets. A no nonsense Restaurant, the way we like it the most. Thanks and we be back. Oh...i have to ad, we saw people coming to pick up pizza, so u think that take out is no problem as well...(delivery not sure)

After living in Nong Khai for three years i discovered this restaurant and ate there twice a day thereafter. Both Thai and Western food is first class and portions are large.Everything is freshly prepared and cooked to order. The hosts Dave and Nat are super friendly and full of local kmowledge. There is an active group of regulars (English,Norwegian,Dutch,Kiwi,Aussie)who are always up for a chat. The restaurant is on the edge of town, close to the river. The area is very quiet and far from the bar scene. If staying in central Nong Khai it can be reached by a long walk down the river promenade.

Jing Joe is the Thai word for kangaroo. We are close to the Mekong River and visitor accommodation, Jing Joe offers a friendly laid back atmosphere and serves great Pizza, Pasta and more. A daily special is also on offer covering lots of Western favourite
It is a correct restaurant. Pizza is good, penne carbonara is acceptable even if not enough pepper and salt (no taste). The weak points are no air conditioning and the smell of cooking from kitchen is present in the restaurant room (no extractor hood ?). We were very surprised to have no red wine (finished said the waiter !), despite the famous wine name of the wall (only for decoration). Not quite sure what a "correct restaurant" is......Pepper & Salt are personal choices and we provide a substantial selection of condiments to suit most needs..Same reason we do not add Salt to chips (French Fries)....better to let people season to their own taste. No Taste??? Find this comment rather oddYour "Perceived" weak points....No Aircon.....in 6 years in Nong Khai we have never advertised nor offered Aircon... in fact none of the top listed TA venues in Nong Khai provide air.Sorry if this offends....maybe better for you to stick with Pizza Company in air con Malls in PattayaAs for your criticism of "smells" coming from the kitchen....may I remind you that you were sitting at the front of an open shop house restaurant....2 doors away from a Thai open air noodle shop....I wonder where the smells were coming from.....sorry to disappoint...but not our Kitchen. We were also disappointed to have one of our House wines run out that evening....something that rarely happens....As to the Wine boxes used for decoration... a quick look at our Drinks List would show that we do nor carry a multi million Baht wine CellarPlease note....we also have a Kangaroo skin on the wall....but that does not mean that we serve Kangaroo SteaksWe really hope you find something that pleases you..................somewhere else !!
