This is a much hyped, very expensive, Michelin starred restaurant. The prices were what I anticipated. The restaurant is genuinely beautiful and romantic. I despise cold, modern decor restaurants and was pleased to arrive in such a warm and lovely space. The open kitchen, often loud and overdone, was very nice here and added some warm theater to a lovely candlelit room. Service was professional, albeit a bit rushed and very young. Our Captain was knowledgeable, although she spoke so fast we could not understand a word she said. Oddly, there was no amuse bouche, which we have come to expect at this level. As a former wine professional, I enjoyed perusing the very deep wine list, although it is lacking in the more realistic $125-$200 price point and unusually heavy in the $1,000.00 plus and plus plus plus range. The food was expertly prepared and of the finest ingredients available, exquisite technique was quite evident, however, everything was just missing...something. The fois gras was as good as many others but at $55, I expect it to be a bit more memorable than others. The rabbit was prepared 3 ways, but had no real flavor in any of the 3 presented styles. The pigeon while traditionally served rare,was way beyond rare and my wife was sure she heard it cry when she cut into it. To be fair, I did not mind it as much, and gave her the saddle of my rabbit in exchange for her still-cooing pigeon. The dessert crepe with verbena ice cream and blueberries was very nice, but, again,we aren't still talking about it. I'm glad we went, It was nice, but there are other, more memorable places, that haunt me to return.

a one Michelin star establishment in Tribeca, warm, with a mature and probably local, loyal clientele no tourist trap here. reception and service sincere and professional, cuisine by Austrian born chef Marcus Glocker wonderful. began with a bourbon old fashioned, correctly listed in several reviews as one of the best in NYC, along with a hibiscus mule for madame. several refills of the delightful bread, hamachi was fresh, artfully prepared and seasoned, tagliatelle w lamb ragu was just what a hungry gourmand needed on a cool evening, recommended duck was tender and lean. all paired with a free corkage personal pinot noir from Oregon made the evening monday date with my wife special. certainly worth the trip from the UES and worth many revisits

Ate here with a friend who lives locally. Lovely outdoor garden space especially welcome on a very warm evening. Varied menu with good range of specials. Octopus starter particularly memorable and all pasta dishes deemed good. We all had the cherry & ricotta special dessert - huge but very tasty. Recommended.

Firstly no matter what I say, it wonât do Colm and tree bistro enough justice. Colm and I met on our first trip to NYC when we were planning our elopement. My wife and I had dinner and fell in love with the place. Super host with super friendly staff. Such a relaxed and genuine person. We arranged a meal for 30 guest who travelled, Colm offered a great menu and drinks package. My guests loved the food and they canât stop talking about how good it is, even down to the amazing carrots lol. Lovely shabby chique spot with pieces on the walls with great stories behind them. Check it out or youâll regret it.

The other reviewers are spot on! The champignons farcis were plentiful and a great start to a wonderful meal. The moules gratinées were small but tasty. We shared the chicken, fish and beef entrees - one was better than the other! Inventive and unique. The service was very attentive, but not intrusive. The basement space is small and filled with customers, but conversation was easy and the atmosphere was festive. Everyone in our party left with smiles on our faces.

We had dinner on a Wednesday. The food was tasty; the prices were reasonable: the location is convenient to the theater district. The noise level was so loud that we could not hear each other speak. I recommend going to this restaurant at an off hour.

This is a tiny place on Prince Street. It can be a little noisy with everyone being seated very close to each other, but it's tolerable. We had bruschette for an appetizer. It was the classic version with olive oil and tomatoes and was awesome. Three of us had lasagna, and the fourth person had penne with tomato sauce and basil. They have a lava cake that isn't on the menu, and the two who had it were fans. All of the food was excellent. Reservations have to be made a month in advance and are recommended. However, there were a few folks who came without reservations after 8 p.m. who were able to be seated. Prices are pretty low for food of this quality.
